You’re not wrong but Beckham could be elite here (or terrible) with Roman since he seems to be capable of only use one WR. It isn’t my top option honestly but he is still freaky good when healthy and involved. Would you rather have AB?

I say let Culley go and hopefully he does. I feel like Roman needs to go but won’t. If we can’t shed Roman then I hope we can get someone better to fill Culley’s role.

I hear you and he’s not ideal but at the same time he would easily become the best WR on the roster and also our biggest headache. It’s literally boom or bust.
AB is prolly my fav wr ever. With that being said, idk if he would be ok with playing every snap yet only getting 50 recs of the year.. he likely to get frustrated with lamar and coaching

Do people really want Corey Davis? I'd be scared as hell that he'd go right back to being the guy from his first 3 years once he's not opposite AJ Brown. Especially in an offense like ours. Allen Robinson is the (somewhat realistic) dream for me.

I only want Davis as a 2a/b. Definitely not a 1. Higgins or Samuel are much more realistic across from Allen though

Us developing wrs isnt the problem imo, its our drafting choice. I feel we are better off drafting nfl ready wrs outta college or wrs who already have those nfl traits. Id rather us go strictly for good rte runners who can catch.

You look at the best wrs in nfl, all those guys run exceptional rtes and its been that way for them even before nfl. Most of them put in the work during spare time. Regardless of who their coaches are ,those guys will be good. Now, they may not be used correctly due to coaching or bad qb play but regardless of it you know those guys have skill.

Hollywood has game, he may never reach his full potential here because of qb play and coaching but the teams and coaches who actually got an eye for wr talent will use him correctly.

if you listen to what and how he said it he really wasnt calling anyone out - moreso him taking responsibility on behalf of the offence and the passing attack for its lacklustre performance - he went on to talk about how he (and others) would be dedicated this offseason to getting better and trying to fix it

he mostly blamed the poor performance on player execution

so while roman may be at fault for some of the passing game problems, hollywood was not calling him out

100% agree with this - route running translates and prospects with poor route running (or who dont have to worry about various nuances etc.) take so much longer to develop

it's great to draft guys with 4.3 speed but in the NFL a ton of corners can run too and if they can press you or get hands on you're not really going to threaten them in man unless you can set them up with route running - feel like duvernay exemplifies that problem - he has lots of plus traits but it was naive to expect him to be a proper wide receiver this year - he's at this point a weapon but you have to manufacture touches for him if you want him to contribute

this offence doesnt need complementary pieces like that right now - we need actual receivers who can win vs man and understand how to run their routes to manipulate the zone

and i personally have always preferred guys who can run routes anyways - i enjoy the craft of it and the battle it creates - WRs have so many tools at their disposal to create separation

Yeah I’m not feeling Corey Davis, and I was REALLY high on him pre draft

Agreed. Hollywood has been almost as good as we could’ve ever expected in this offense upon drafting him, but he’s not “the” guy and likely never will be due to his size and nature.

I’m really liking Bateman, Marshall, st brown, and nico Collins for us.

there’s also a guy Jaelen Dardon who’s like Hollywood’s size but he’s a tough sob and he’s not as fast but wayyy twitchier, like a Lamar running style, he’s just a guy I’d love to see here breaking ankles

@rossihunter2 i know you’re a big DeShon guy, so how well do you think he played this season? Do you think he played well enough to remain our starter, or should we look elsewhere?

I think he's played well enough to be our starter but not amazing enough that he couldn't be usurped by a high quality addition

that being said he might have had his best game yet against the bills from what ive seen - one of my biggest criticisms of him especially as a deep cover guy is that he's hesitant to trigger and it often makes him seem late or slow but when he backs his reads he's got tons of range

there was one spectacular play he made in coverage early against the bills where he started at the LoS between the Edge and Slot on the far side and at the snap absolutely screams downfield to bracket diggs over the top on a go route lined up outside with Marcus Peters on the near side

so he came from the LoS and from the opposite side of the field to get over the top to completely nullify that play

he's got that kind of upside

and we all know what he can do in the running game with the way he comes downhill like a rocket

and i love the way he holds himself and how hyped and swaggery he gets

I think we need to add another safety anyway so that we can get into more 3 safety dime packages again - even if we did add a starting level safety, deshon's going to be a big part of this defence in 2021 - the real question for me is what we do about him after 2021 given he'll be a free agent after this upcoming season

yes, he would save 7.5m if we cut him. The did a small restructure at some point last season to create some space. His cap hit is 14.424m and his dead cap is 6.924m.

Very possible Brandon Williams played his last snap as a Raven, unless he takes a substantial pay cut.
I don’t know, I mean who would replace him? We would need to either sign someone or draft a guy. I don’t think Ellis is capable.
Marvin Jones, Hollywood, Boykin (who I’ve seen enough of), Duvernay and Proche is still a laughable group. You guys can talk about cap space all you want, but if EDC wants someone, he’ll get him, if that means Robinson or anyone else that’s a true #1. I don’t think a trade is feasible unless we get a 3rd as a comp from either Judon or Yannick. Stop throwing darts at the draft and pick up someone who’s already established.
If we don’t get another OC I don’t know why we would need Jones, Brown & Robinson. What would they do? We’re going to run a TE & Ricard.
No need for Brandon anymore especially with that savings and with Madboogie on deck
He doesn’t play the same position. One is a NT and the other is different.
