Bisciotti has to step in and fire Roman if Harbaugh doesn't do it.
I haven't heard him saying that they will bring someone in to help them with the concepts and scheme.
But ultimately that's what I expected. Nothing will happen.
Didn’t Steve step in with Cam Cameron?

Harbaugh doesn't call people out in the media and I don't think he ever has. What do you expect him to say?

"Dude, I know, our passing concepts suck & Warner/Steve Smith are spot-on. We need to do better. I have been telling Greg to do it but he won't. Nobody should hire this man, we're about to fire his ass."

That will never happen. I don't think he has ever said anything bad about a specific player or coach or even ref?
But the thing is he vehemently disagreed with the criticism from the media (Baldy, Warner, SSr, JT etc..).

Of course not, but he should’ve announced this morning that we’re moving on from Roman. Now this offense will take a big hit in regards to trying to convince skill position players to come here. Dez’s opinions holds a lot of weight in the NFL.

i dont know that firing roman is the answer necessarily - and it feels like there's a ton of reactionary people in the fanbase for whom the only acceptable answer 4 days after the playoff exit would be to fire roman and eviscerate him in a press conference

neither of those things were ever going to happen

if bisciotti has to step in to fire roman then he's lost trust in harbs which would mean harbs shouldnt be here anymore either

bisciotti's not an idiot - he knows it's a slippery slope if he starts interfering directly in things like that - he has always relished his role as a sounding board and leader but has never stepped over the guys he hired to do the HC and GM jobs etc.

Harbaugh just said he won't hire anybody else unless he has to replace Cullen, Hewitt, MInter or Culley. smh...

idk why you're all surprised - was not expecting anything in terms of staff changes (beyond replacing guys who've moved on like Macdonald and Minter - and possibly culley, cullen or hewitt)

EDIT: also just seen it in context - it was after talking specifically about steve saunders and defending how they weren't going to fire him

I should've been more precise: Bisciotti should basically urge Harbaugh to fire Roman. Sort of an advice.

Roman and Culley couldn't do it. So why don't you bring someone in to help with the passing concepts?

It's this part that worries me. I'm ok with keeping Roman. I think if Tucker makes those 2 kicks, and Lamar doesn't throw a pick 6 we might be talking about a different game. I just don't know if I can trust Roman to fix the passing game without somebody bringing an outside perspective.

my guess... they think that with a specific focus on that development they can go away and basically do what they did in 2019 in january/february and fundamentally re-build the offence - in this case the passing game

Not sure what you expect John Harbaugh to say. He's not going to talk bad about his coordinators or coaches on his staff.

i get that - and honestly i dont know if he can either - but i dont think there's anything stopping him from being able to do it - the organisational mission statement needs to be about how we can get this passing game to high levels of efficiency

if they've already decided to pay lamar (which it sounds like they have) then we've got time to see if this can work (i dont like potentially wasting a year but no point blowing it up right now if you know Lamar's going to be here for at least 5 more years)

I want Roman gone. That said the owner should own and leave the operations to the people he's trusted in each position.
