I think Favre perhaps used some confusing phrasing. I don't think he meant to say that Watson shouldn't have an opinion about anything in life, which I assume is how Ramsey took it.
What I think Favre is correct about is that Watson shouldn't be voicing his opinion about who his bosses are, which is what he's been doing.
The ONLY caveat where I sympathize with players on this topic is that Pro Sports is about the only industry on the planet where, if an employee was unhappy with his bosses or leadership, he's either forced to continue to work there OR leave the industry entirely. In any other place of work, if I hated my companies leadership, I could quit and go work for a competitor.
However, Pro Athletes also know that from a very early age. They know the contractual commitments that come with being a Pro, AND, they also know some of the many perks they get that other industries mostly wouldn't get. Fame, endless sponsorship opportunities, pensions, 50% revenue share, free healthcare, etc.
So its a trade.
