@rossihunter2 ,

Looks like he thanked David for clearing that up so it's basically a non-story anymore. Now speaking of this Dan Sileo guy, he also had THIS to say about another QB who plays for a Texas NFL team.

he's notorious for never being right and just making up bullshit sources and guessing - like a *** just for Texas except at least *** occasionally guesses right

Looks like his name will need to be censored from here on out. But you know what? Fuck it, I'll entertain it. $35M/yr for Dak? Ooooooofftt.

i mean he's worth that deal honestly - before his injury he was on pace for over 6000 yds lol
and if they wont pay him that then another team certainly will

my quibble was not with the content of the tweet - merely the dude and his sources lol

Don't know how right this is considering every source was saying the 49ers were the leading candidate for Stafford until they weren't. Looks like another potential QB swap could be happening but I'm laughing at the idea the Vikings think they can get a first round pick for Cousins.

also not sure cousins drastically moves the needle - i mean i guess shanahan had him in washington for a couple of years but otherwise not sure why they'd do this - especially as they've got a pretty high pick this year if they wanted to try and get one of the top rookie guys (which seems like a better option to me than going after a very middle of the road QB who costs a bajillion times more)

Right ? They seem on equal footing and maybe even a slight edge to Jimmy G. That’s a lot of capital to give up for

Chiefs avoided a huge COVID disaster as a Barber with COVID cut the hair of WR Demarcus Robinson and was in the process of cutting Chiefs Center Daniel Kilgore's hair when he found out he tested positive. He was scheduled to cut the hair of at least 20 more players including Star QB Patrick Mahomes.

Crazy that we’re still treating COVID as a serious virus

Is he referring to the Farve “ shut up and play football”comment in reference to Watson?

Farve absolutely could have rephrased that to sound better, but I believe his real intentions were noble. I think some of the elite money makers, not just athletes, need a reality check. Watson made a $156 million on his contract and he is acting like the Texans have greatly wronged him.

“woe is me” attitude falls on deaf ears during a pandemic where so many are struggling to make ends meet. Just goes to show how out of touch people are.

I don’t have any issues with what Ramsey said just as I don’t have issues with what Farve said. Free speech is a beautiful thing and should be extended to all.

I think Favre perhaps used some confusing phrasing. I don't think he meant to say that Watson shouldn't have an opinion about anything in life, which I assume is how Ramsey took it.

What I think Favre is correct about is that Watson shouldn't be voicing his opinion about who his bosses are, which is what he's been doing.

The ONLY caveat where I sympathize with players on this topic is that Pro Sports is about the only industry on the planet where, if an employee was unhappy with his bosses or leadership, he's either forced to continue to work there OR leave the industry entirely. In any other place of work, if I hated my companies leadership, I could quit and go work for a competitor.

However, Pro Athletes also know that from a very early age. They know the contractual commitments that come with being a Pro, AND, they also know some of the many perks they get that other industries mostly wouldn't get. Fame, endless sponsorship opportunities, pensions, 50% revenue share, free healthcare, etc.

So its a trade.

the thing here is it's a uniquely american (or maybe North American) pro sports problem - in other major global sports there is the ability to go to a competing league of equal standing with different ownership or league management etc. but the exact same rules of the sport itself
