You ain't getting that. No indication his value has been anywhere close to that except by fans.

im just not sure that anything below a first is worth our time - and if we cant get that then i dont see why we'd let go of him

i dont mind the idea of 33 and another ok/decent pick as well - feel like we need 2 picks (the 2nd one doesnt have to be huge)

If we can't get a 1, I do really like the idea of getting 33. It's an enviable spot. You get like 18 hours to field trade offers and figure out what you want to do. And if we could potentially coax them into giving us their 4th rounder at the top of the round too, we could have another length period to field offers if we wanted.

looking at the class as it is right now 33 probably gets you a very good prospect - but it's also as you say a prime spot for trading down from - the strength of this class is (yet again) day 2

if the old Jags regime was in place we might have had a shot lol - EDC had a great relationship with dave caldwell (partly how we nearly got Jadeveon Clowney

Agreed. Tunsil is no barometer. That trade was universally hated by everyone in the league.

33 is a good starting point and I'm sure we're trying to get them to up the offer to 25 and potentially throw in a sweetener via a mid-late round pick.

the problem is it's all been "confirmed" by the seahawks and rams giving up 1s like they're nothing - the seahawks gave up 2 1s for a safety which is where this inflated value comes from

and for what it's worth 25 and a 4 would be fine by me - tbh 33 and that 4 at the top of day 3 would also probably be fine by me albeit i'd really like 25

I'd really want EDC to get a starting lineman and a pick for Orlando if he's getting traded. The dropoff at tackle from Orlando to Phillips is huge and I really don't want to see Lamar die next year.

I would trade you the #33 overall pick for a late 3rd rounder the following year in exchange for a one year rental of a top tackle. So it's a hard no from me. It creates a hole we don't need to create and don't know we can fill. If it's #33, keep the player for one more run and take the comp when he walks.

No, you don’t take a comp pick here, plain and simple, if it comes down to it and he plays here another year, tag and trade his ass, you cannot let a premium player at a premium position who can nab you a kings ransom, walk away for free, absolutely the fuck not.

but yes if it’s only 33rd overall and nothing else, fuckoff I don’t even wanna hear your second offer.

if we’re trading for day 2 picks, it better be multiple, like 2 2s, or a 2 and 2 3s.

Think some of you all are greedy. He's being replaced with Stanley and the other pieces we had are still here. Take the picks. Draft a replacement and gives us more freedom to move up or down and possibly get a franchise changing player. Also, we get a new player, under contract for possible 5 years at a much cheaper rate. We're getting comp picks from Culley, and most likely Judon and Yannick. We've done pretty well in this draft position. He played about half a season at LT and you want 3 year all pro compensation, when we all know damn well the line didn't hold up great in pass pro.

i mean id be happy to hear more offers from the jags lol (obviously the 1 pick is out of the question) - they've also got the 25th pick, 3 picks in day 2 and the first pick of day 3

if they wanna do better than just 33 im happy to keep listening

it's about what we accept for not having him though - we're trading away our best option at RT so it had better be a good offer or why are we taking it

and just as a reminder - any comp picks we get for ngakoue, judon etc. wont be until 2022

Agree. If we can manage the 25th or 33rd and a later pick, I'm all for it. No point in keeping him here and I think that's sufficient compensation. I'm not saying take any offer, but those would be fine by me.

25 and a third straight up and I’m sold. Add our culley comp and suddenly That’s enough to address a lot of our needs including OT.

33rd and a third and I’m iffy, I feel like they’d need to sweeten the pot. Maybe swap 27 and 25 on top of that

Lol I totally forgot tag and trade was a thing. Definitely do that. If we think he's worth a late first and a 3rd for one year on his rookie deal, what would that become for one year on the tag next year? Late 1st? 2nd rounder? Assuming his play is at the same level, etc.

well ngakoue got a 2 and a conditional 5 (1 year after) on his initial tag and trade - would have to think brown would be somewhat similar to that - but i guess a little hard to believe we'd potentially force him to stay not 1 but 2 years longer than he wants at that point...

Little random here but this stuff regarding Britt Reid is exactly why the Ravens have this anti-nepotism thing. I bet it’s weird now that Andy had to essentially fire his son or get him to resign or whatever happened. That makes for an awkward moment. It made me think back to Dean Pees and his son joining the Titans after he “retired” from Baltimore.

Schefter said Britt's contract ran out with the team and he is no longer employed by the team. Hopefully his next stop is Jail.

Guys a piece of shit. We just had a notorious drunk driving piece of shit well known in Pasadena kill someone drunk on the highway and flee the scene, good riddance to both of these subhuman trashbags

and I'd say he did well at left tackle due to how much we ran the ball.

Because of this it’s hard to determine how well he would do at LT with a pass first NFL team .

He would fit best on a team with a young QB that they want to bring along with a strong run game.
