Definitely. And let's not forget that Houston is still a good player who can wreak havoc on opposing QBs. We would be able to keep him fresh as well since Odafe would presumably be getting quite a bit of playing time. Really hope we can make this happen.

$6M signing bonus, $2M guaranteed base salary in year 1
2021: $2M base + $3M bonus = $5M cap hit
2022: $6M base + $3M bonus = $9M cap hit... $6M in savings and $3M in dead money should he be cut
Might also be incentives in the $14M so next year could be a cheaper base too. We don’t have full details there yet.

I personally wouldn't count a FA signing as part of a trade agreement. Not really apples to apples. We still would have been in the market for a swing tackle most likely even if we hadn't traded Brown, and our draft class, I think, may have been somewhat different as well.
You aren't wrong, but we wouldn't have paid what we paid to back up Zeus, Jr. if he was still with the team. You can look at it either way, imo.
Either way both teams did well in this trade, without knowing how the players pan. We will know for certain in a few yrs.

Depend if you're measuring whether the trade was good value or whether the Ravens got better overall.
if they got better overall is where my measuring stick is. We really won't know for a couple yrs though.

When we traded for Ngakoue, we gave a 2021 3rd and a 2022 conditional 5th round pick. Does anyone know what the condition was for the conditional pick?
