I may be overblowing it, but I've honestly never heard of rookies going to the locker during these things with muscle soreness as a common occurrence. Just seems very weird.
Well I know that I got some muscle soreness in my hip a few weeks ago at work, and I kept going, running around with the kids at practice, working etc. and 2 weeks later I’m 99% certain I have a mild case of tendinitis and it hurts like a bitch to do literally anything

there is very little to gain by ignoring your body’s warning signs.

Yes. But I'm hoping this isn't a reoccurring issue for him is what I'm saying.

But like what evidence is there in any direction? We don't even know where he was sore do we? This is a non-issue as it is an extremely mild single datapoint.

Jamison Hensley tweeting Boykin another standout at OTAs and Ferguson commiting multiple mental errors.

The questions are is Boykin just doing off-season Boykin things where he'll look good and it means nothing? Or is the impending competition really driving him? And what the hell is wrong with Ferguson? Is he even an NFL quality player? He's barely played meaningful snaps and is making mental errors in OTAs. Is it time to bring in Houston?

Maybe the new coaches are giving that much needed fire to Boykin... but we’ve all seen this song and dance before with him. Ferguson is a joke.

Well, its obvious by now, but I like Bozeman a lot as a Guard (probably more than most), so I generally try to avoid moving guys to a different position when they're already good at one.

If Cleveland or Powers shows very well in preseason, I'm all for it. My concern is if they don't, then you've got a weakness at LG, in which case I don't know if a TCC/Bozeman combo would be better. It's too early to tell, candidly.

I'm more or less surprised that you're making a position switch like this, and you're announcing him as the starter before you even really start the offseason. Like I get the competition is low there, but I would have expected to at least see how it plays out first.

May be inevitable and likely wouldn't change 3 months from now, but seems very "anti-Ravens" to sort of anoint a starter without ever really playing there in the league. That's like announcing Cleveland is the starter at LG the first day he throws pads on.

i imagine it's also partly in part to do with how the season ended with snapping issues - bozeman's the best and surest C on the team so he's the starter there

it happens all the time - the kind of stuff that wouldnt pull him out of a game either... not really an injury but some soreness that at this point in the offseason means you take zero risks

I mean is there really any true competition for the spot? Bozeman can snap the ball. The "competitors" can't. The end

until boykin does anything when there's contact and pads involved im not taking anything from reports of him dominating vs air/vs shorts and t-shirts for the 3rd year in a row

part of the reason ferguson was replaced by ward on the actives list was because of those mental errors - he seems to do pretty well setting the edge vs more traditional running plays but is consistently hoodwinked by misdirection/horizontally designed plays

Agreed on Boykin. Can't understand why we aren't looking to further upgrade Ferguson. Is this a post June 1st kinda thing?

more likely a cap thing - we really dont have a ton of money to work with - we just added 2 rookies to the room and re-signed both bowser and mcphee - that's 4 guys likely ahead of him in the rotation who weren't slated to be from the outset - justin houston seems like the obvious guy who'd fill in as that 5th guy to leave jaylon as the odd man out but we dont really have the space right now to sign him without doing some restructuring unless his deal isnt gonna be that big

but there's clearly a mutual interest there

Lamar should be in the MVP race again with an improved line and better arsenal at the WR position, and this makes me moist.
