although the Titans is the team I didn't want him to go to, I'm just glad we didn't trade for him.

I don’t know if “seeing ghosts”, as Darnold said before, is exactly fixable though.

Julio would have been a great addition but not at the cost coming off a season where he only played 9 games and you don't know where he is from a health standpoint. The crazy thing is there were players commenting on it acting surprised he went only for a second as if he should have went for more. Injuries and a high cap will do that to ANY player.

Honestly the Ravens had no business trading for him when you think about how the roster is made up. You just drafted a WR in the first round, you have Hollywood (though he is not a number 1 he is certainly a starter-level player), and you have Watkins and you drafted another WR in the 4th plus Duv plus if you think you have anything with Boykin AND they already have Andrews to throw to as well so the passing game has a plethora of weapons already. At this point that is enough invested into WR that you have to trust some of them to work out.

That was Bill Belichicks defense. The seeing ghosts line was really blown out of proportion, all it meant was the patriots front was throwing all kinds of exotic looks and he couldn’t identify the pressure.

that said, I was never high on darnold to begin with, not at any point.

Yup, Julio was a fun thought, but you gotta let your guys play. If a trade was to be made it always felt like it would be a pass rusher
