I think we should lose the idea of "simplified playbook" and embrace the term "winning playbook". Seems Tyler did pretty well throwing for 2 and running for 2 using whatever plays were called, who gives a shiz, they worked against a top 10 D.

the playbook is different ...

Pretty sure you already shared that particular bad Lamar play. Regardless, what exactly is the angle here? The board already agrees Lamar hasn't played well recently, so unless you're genuinely arguing that he should be benched for Huntley, what are we doing here?

Also the point of the different "playbook" is that it might look the same, but Lamar will have been told something like "progress through X, then Y, then Z" and will have checks and adjustments to make at the line. Huntley will be told "hit Mark Andrews when you reach your drop point. If he's covered, check down to the flat."

I tend to agree, and it looks like the board does as well, that it makes sense to mix in some of these layups to help Lamar get in rhythm, but there's no question who the better quarterback is.

Agree that we should mix it in to help Lamar's rhythm, but run this stuff for too long and it'll get figured out and stuffed. We have to find a balance.

This. We literally had plays where Hollywood was lightly jogging through his route because (1) he was gassed and (2) he knew he wasn't an option on that play. Huntley had 2 reads max. Lamar is reading the whole field and identifying the defense and making checks at the line. It's not really comparable. Plays might look similar but what each QB is being asked to do with them is not.

I feel like Lamar is trying way too hard to prove he’s a pocket passer, on top of trying to play hero ball every game and hit a home run when the check-downs are there like they were for Huntley yesterday. The slightest feeling of a breakdown in the pocket and Lamar get antsy and steps up into a sack

Lamar needs to use his gifts like he did his MVP season and let loose. He actually has weapons on the outside this time. Use them! Bateman and Hollywood running one on one is just unfair. Give them a chance

Why does Murray look like a whole new RB? Lol

Yeah no debating here. Lamar hasn't played well recently. But we know he can be better. He needs to get out of his own head and not feel like he needs to do it all himself. It's not entirely his fault as earlier this season the adjustments were to make Lamar do it all when the offense was struggling. We just need to get him back to basics a little and hopefully Huntley working in rhythm with a bit more simplification is the jump start the staff needs to implement some of that for Lamar. Still need to let him be him but it's okay to script some things too.

I really miss him taking off and just dazzling us. I realise he can't do that forever but it's still the most fun I've had watching football.

Are we on board with Ben Cleveland?

Don't see why you'd go back to Powers at this point. I'm sure some of it had to do with Kenny Clark missing but that's the most push up the middle I've seen in the running game all season. You deal with the growing pains at this point and go with the higher potential.

- Loved the team in this game. Fucking brilliant considering all odds stacked against them. Everyone deserves an MVP award
- I've agreed with the two previous going-for-two at the end due to circumstances. This one, I don't agree at all. The Ravens offense is moving the ball at will, so if you win the coin flip you have 50% in overtime. You don't have 50% on a 2-pointer, especially with a non-functional run game. And that fucking sprint-right playcall again in important situation. Anything but that bullshit play. Why cut the field into 1/3 and leave yourself with only one single passing option. Especially when the packers had 1? sack all game, so it wasn't like their pass rush was anything to fear.
- Sharpe looked so much better than Philips has ever done. Coincidence?
- Refball? GB got at least 3 favorable spots in key downs. Perhaps they were correct, but I'd say at least one was short. The so-called DPI on Seymour?
- Rodgers is a wanker. Quit playing referee. Fucker should be hit with a couple of taunting penalties to shut him up. But I guess he is a "celebrity"
- I hope Aikman got to sniff Rodgers jockstrap after the game, he really was begging for it all night.

1. I think we're well above 50% long term to convert two yards
2. We're moving the ball at will the last two drives because the Packers are playing with 14 point and TD leads in the 4th quarter, meaning their only objective is to not get beat deep and defend in the red zone. If you actually re-watch the game, you'll notice that Green Bay's entire secondary is playing way further off the ball than they were in the first three quarters. That's by design. Wouldn't expect to see that look in OT.
3. What about that game indicated "no functional rushing attack"? Our RBs averaged 5.5 YPC, as did our QB. Was one of the better rushing games for us I've seen in a long time.

well yeah, that holds true for any plays. lol

It's a shame we don't have a reliable run game to really open things up.

Practice Squad

[/ CITA]

no, it's the only time I've posted it, I shared it to refute "the different playbook" that huntley uses, that they wield around here.
You know more than I do, you've been watching the game for a longer time, you've practiced it, it's hard for me to believe what they're saying. There is only one playbook, each play has different situations, different defenses, different executors, different weather inclusive.
the play is the same why? because it is one of the proven ways to break cover 0 / blitz.
be roman, walsh, trestman or whoever.
what changed? the execution one went well, the other bad, why? nervousness, group formation, player in charge, reading, scrolling, you will know what it is.
but do not come with: the simplified playbook because they are just making an excuse. It is the decision of huntley that is taking the first reading because he has no arm for which that, speaks ill of him? no, on the contrary, it does what is most effective for him and in the most efficient way possible.

They are getting more into Lamar defenders than Ravens fans.
huntley's roof is the floor of lamar, like that of dilfer with respect to marino, now who has the ring?
