If we dont win the division I would honestly not care about the playoffs depending on the seeding for the sake of Lamar and being labled a playoff loser again. Cincy might pass for 500 on us

I always want us in the playoffs cause you never know what could happen once you are there. We all know what not making the playoffs looks like; this:

Yea im just being a boring pessimist for no reason. Literally half of the NFL fans are convinced Huntley is better than Lamar and it makes me want to blow my brains out. If Lamar loses 1st round again due to not having a team, life will be so unbareable for months

I'll say this. Given the current hand we've dealt with, making the playoffs is basically winning a Super Bowl to me THIS season. I literally don't give AF if we wasted a playoff spot and go one-and-done again.

I swear to all of you, I'll be chillin' just like I was in the season finale of 2019 against the Steelers with our backups in the first playoff game.........................if we even get there.

i mean sure it would - but hard to ignore what a herculean feat it would be just to get this team to the playoffs in the first place hence his pro bowl recognition

ive had zero issues the last few games because we've been so decimated that i have no expectations of winning - obviously it's been cool when we've been in it at the end but ive sort of been able to step back and "enjoy" the games rather than being as invested as i was earlier in the year

and it's got to the point of the year where there's a bright side to both results - a win gives us a chance at the playoffs, a loss gives us a better chance at a higher pick

Huntley has a quicker release than Lamar that is for sure, so it makes him stick out to NFL fans because Lamar has been holding that rock for far too long instead of doing him and taking off running. I do like the fact that Huntley is gaining a lot of experience in these games though and that he is playing his role (backing up Lamar) well.

semantics here because i think you mean he's getting the ball out of his hands quicker

but he's actually got a really long-release with a big wind-up which is partly why he sometimes struggles on some of the timings on those intermediate throws

lamar's got a really short release (but takes a long time to throw) with his whippy arm-action

but that's just me being a pedant

See, at least in the 2015 season, because we were so out of contention, I was literally watching the games with zero stress despite the fact that we were in so many close games (9 of our 11 losses were one score games). What hurts about this season is the fact that we're (for the time being) in the thick of playoff contention.

Getting Chuck and Colon back is huge for depth. If we could get one of the LBs back, we could be in decent shape for the game as far as numbers go.

Still looking like Hayes is going to have to be activated just to have a body there. Would also expect us to stack safeties with the ILB situation. Clark and Stephens with the start and probably Levine, Jefferson, and Richards rotating in the box/deep when Clark moves up. ST is an oddly big loss with Board and Welch down so Richards makes sense there.

harrison might have to play his first defensive snaps since he got shot
even last week with loads of guys out he played 20 ST snaps but no defensive snaps

Yep Rossi, since you are one that is pedantic, you, my friend are playing semantics. I said what I meant cause I'm not necessarily speaking in terms of his throwing motion but how quickly he gets rid of or lets the ball go, or "releases" it from his hands in general. So, whatever you choose to call it, Huntley does it quicker than Lamar. So there!

Yep Rossi, you, my friend are playing semantics with the wording cause you know what is being implied when someone says that a QB has a quick release. I'm not necessarily speaking in terms of their throwing motion but how quickly they get rid of or let the ball go, or release it from their hands in general. Since I don't speak in such detailed terms I'll leave all of that to you but whatever you choose to call it, Huntley does it quicker than Lamar. So there!

It was an important distinction to make

No he does not, the playbook is more conducive to quick releases. Of 32 nfl qbs starting last week it would be a safe bet that Huntley has the 32nd longest release time, his windup is what brought him from a 3rd/4th rounder to UDFA.

release time and “average time to release” are 2 massively different things.

Quick question forum mates: Has anyone adopted Huntley yet? I have room for a third kid at home because the real one has left the nest. I am adopting Huntley too because he deserves a loving family and daddy. With some tough love, he'll blossom into a first round trade offer for us in the next few years.

So anyway, we’re gonna need to get more pressure on Burrow this time, he had all day to throw last game. We had a lot of guys open underneath that Lamar didn’t hit for whatever reason, Huntley is fine with taking these options, but I imagine the Bengals will play him a little differently than Lamar.

I think Brown and Bateman need to have bigger days because you’d think the Bengals will double Andrews all game, especially with their one area of injuries, linebacker.
