if i remember correctly from last year it's possible that we'll get some additions (and also some dropouts) between now and the game especially from the 2 CFB championship rosters

big add getting Sam Howell into the game

really interesting OL group though (listed the ones i'm most intrigued by initially):

Trevor Penning
Daniel Faalele
Bernhard Raimann
Abraham Lucas
Darian Kinnard
Max Mitchell
Spencer Burford
Luke Goedeke
Jamaree Salyer
Zion Johnson
Justin Shaffer
Ed Ingram
Dylan Parham
Marquis Hayes
Cole Strange

and there'll be really important reps for Penning, Faalele, Raimann, Kinnard, Strange especially

but tons of talent at this year's senior bowl

Jets and Lions coaching staffs announced as the coaching staffs (which was somewhat predictable albeit im glad it's not the texans staff who could have been one of the options too)

just glad there's not gonna be any college coach bullshit this year at the senior bowl

Devin Lloyd is the best senior bowl prospect I've watched so far
does all the things you want a modern linebacker to do - i dont think he's ever going to be in range for the ravens though - he's going to go in the 1st but somewhere after we pick lol
I've seen mock drafts of him going in the top 15. It's a really weak LB class as a whole, and Lloyd stands as easily the top one, so someone is gonna pull the trigger just so they don't miss out.

to me he looks like a 1st round player but not the kind of guy I'd be excited about spending a top 15 pick on

do you not think nakobe dean's got a chance to be the top LB in the class?

Right now, I think Dean is the better athlete but Lloyd is the better football player. Lloyd has more of an ability to step in and be the leader of the defense, and the guy making adjustments. Dean is more of just a read and react guy. Dean actually reminds me a lot of Patrick Queen.

Most teams drafting in the top of the draft need cornerstone players and leaders to give their defense an identity, so Lloyd will probably go earlier. In the long run he will probably be the top LB of this class (far from a guarantee of course).

i can see that - although i will say that from watching georgia's defence it looks like dean's a hell of a leader out there - showed some really high level pre-snap reads that showed some cool film study traits and then obviously the athleticism etc. to go and make a play

also was cool to see him keeping guys on his own defence accountable in that championship game against bama

@RaineV1 - coming back to Dean, I think you're right about the similarities with Queen although he's even smaller than Queen (i think) but shares a lot of the same weaknesses to his game (and strengths too)

but i dont think he's a great fit for the ravens for sure - doesn't look like a mike to me more generally either

Yeah, we already have one linebacker in that style. It's not a great draft for finding true MLBs.

One guy I actually think could be a very good true ILB and on field coach type for Wink's defense is Chad Muma, from Wyoming. Plus athleticism, incredible awareness, and ability to read plays. Some highlights just to show what he is capable of:

Hmmmm. The Jets are coaching the national team and the Lions are coaching the american team. Something seems wrong with this but I can't put my finger on it. :-1:

senior bowl doing their weigh-ins and measurements right now - you can find them all on twitter as they go through them (think they're going alphabetically by first name

but had to share this one because omg hahahahaha

literally hardly matters what his pass sets look like at this point because the only way to get past him is to orbit him

“incredible awareness, and ability to read plays.” sign me up!

I just want a MLB that can rock the green dot. The sooner we find one, the sooner we can replace Chuck Clark. He ain’t special in anything besides being a film room guy and knowing how to line people up.. feel like we can get more out of that safety spot

the only problem with having a LB wear the green dot is that we dont have LBs on the field for 100% of the snaps whereas chuck (or whoever is going to play one of those safety roles like geno stone when chuck was out) is
