Mosley + Queen would have been something
literally perfect compliments to each other
and what's more wink's defence was partly designed around and with input from CJ (as well as sizzle and weddle)

I always thought Mosley got a raw deal from many fans here for what the team had him do, he was a very good player, but not worth what the Jets gave him....at the time. Just not worth resetting the market.
if it has been leaked it was leaked on purpose, just like they did back in 2008 when they almost hired Jim Fassell to come in as head coach.
Fassell had made the recommendation to hire Jim Zorn as Offensive Coordinator and once this information came out there was an uproar on the social media sites, ie Extremeskins, hailskins etc..... Thus he wasn't hired and the search continued...took a very long time and finally Zorn was promoted to HC. It's also a big reason Vinny Cerrato, Dan's best friend and raquetball partner, was fired once Zorn was fired at the end of the 2009 season.

Aside from being a better pass defender than given credit for, the defense has really suffered from losing someone capable of making adjustments to plays on the fly and be the QB of the defense. Feels like losing Mosley essentially lobotomized Wink's scheme, since it somewhat relies on guys making adjustments.
100% - the defence was built around CJ, Weddle and Sizzle and all 3 of those guys were gone after that 2018 season
twice in the last 3 seasons we've needed josh bynes to come in and try and be that guy for us because the younger guys couldnt (somewhat understandably)
and we didnt even have the benefit of great back-end communication to somewhat make up for it because MP was out before the year started and then deshon went down and the corners were changing every week

I'd like to sign Bynes in 2022 and he himself said he'd love to come back. He was so important for Queen and Queen gives Bynes a lot of credit for calming him down. Also Bynes isn't expensive and we still could draft a younger MLB on day 2 or 3.
