Is there a WR2 available though? I can buy Diggs but there's a host of off field stuff that is working against him there. That's why I don't buy that we're a guy short yet. We can add someone to the room but it's just someone in a similar position with different concerns.

We're certainly banking on a lot to go right as far as the pass catchers go, but I don't think we're a guy short... yet. Think you just have to see what you have in these young guys before you bury them. There are moves that can be made much later in the process if you need to.

Justin Herbert missed voluntary workouts to galavant around the world with Madison Beer and people hardly batted an eye

Haven't heard anything either way but I doubt it. Think they're still open to a vet but I'd guess that's a rotational guy. They just invested a huge contract into one guy and back-to-back 2nd round picks in the draft. Those are the guys they want on the field.

    Welcome to Baltimore: Zion Young

I too would guess it's Boston given the info we have, and it very well may have been. Just playing devil's advocate that it's not strictly black and white. There could be some nuance to how that played out is all.

They thought he would have. Had a good idea Bain was going at 15, and they were leaning that the Jets would go Sadiq at 16. But they were content with any of them and knew the Lions were planning to move up for Miller, so they were getting 1 of their 3.

This is coming from one of the most "blame the players" guys on here... but I'd say the coaches going full retard is a much greater reason for our lack of playoff success than missing OTA sessions.

    Welcome to Baltimore: Zion Young

I think it depends. I'm just throwing out a name with no intel... but let's say Kayden McDonald was the guy they had rated higher. I think pretty much everyone in the league circle knew he wasn't lasting long once day 2 kicked off. He could have very well been rated higher, but that doesn't...

Correlation and causation are not the same thing. If he was out here missing TC, they'd be pissed. But they don't care that he's missing a few days, nor do they care that a few other vets are missing time either.

    Welcome to Baltimore: Zion Young

Yep Boston was the other guy within their range with a similar grade as Zion. I don't know that Boston was necessarily above Young, because it very well could have been someone else that went early in round 2 that was the grade above Zion. But that also doesn't mean Boston wasn't above him...

I think you loosely hit it... it's an optics thing. It doesn't look good. But the biggest impact to him missing these sessions is on his wallet, not his on field play.

I get it but that's not how it works. Most of the vets are taking a few reps and sitting on the sidelines watching for the bulk of these sessions. I'm not excusing it but this is also so low impact in the grand scheme of things that it doesn't really matter. Him missing these sessions is not...

I too would obviously rather have him there vs. not having him there, but the attendance at these things is so overblown for veterans. He literally might throw 10-15 meaningful balls all practice. This is where the young guys get the reps. It's about them right now.

No. Just figuring out the guy that fits the best based on athletic ability and communication (the whole OTA having a large impact thing is overblown) and feel he's their best option right now, so want to keep him working with the guys he's most likely going to be working with as of now.

I'm almost sure it'll change again because well, it's an open competition... But Pinter seems to have taken the lead at C and they want to keep running him out there with the other presumed starters as of now. Seems like Bullock has fallen back and they may be giving him more G looks for now...

Mostly because they ball against a bunch of other guys you'll never see or hear from again. It's the practice reps that matter the most because that's when the guys that are making it are getting reps against stars and not a bunch of other guys that are going to be out of the league soon. It's...

I don't think his body would last at 15-20 carries. He's been banged up a lot in his short career, and that's with a much lower workload than that.

Keaton never developed in the passing game - as a pass catcher or a pass protector. If you thought those things were important in the offense under Monken, it's another level under the Johnson/Doyle offense.
