Probably speed? Oh yea speed. Did I mention speed? Samuel has amazing potential but Hollywood is already one of the fastest players in the league and can run the full route tree. The only thing that could hold Brown back is Lamar’s ability to get him the ball. I don’t think that will be a problem.

...If you legitimately think Chris Moore and Jaleel Scott are better wide receivers than Hollywood Brown because of practice and preseason I don’t know what to tell you. More versatile parts of the team perhaps...but better wide outs? Come on.

I wouldn’t pay too much attention to the depth chart. Roman is a matchup guy and Hollywood is a mismatch in human form. You find a way to get Hollywood matched up against their CB2 and go to town. If they put M. Fitzpatrick on him outside then Mandrews goes to the house. Gonna be fun.

The team is clearly playing games with the depth chart. I imagine snap count will be wildly different than what is represented.

Agree. Wink also hinted that he has interesting plans for Bowser as well. Man how great would it be if the lights truly came on for Tyus in year 3? Season can’t start soon enough.

    The 53 Man Roster: Thread

I actually think this telegraphs our plans for pass rush this year. Will see a lot of LBs on the field together. Per FilmStudy, Ravens ran a team record low in base defense with 3 DL on the field last season. Expect that to go down and see a lot of run for the OLBs inside. We also talk a lot...

Can we talk about David Culley? I’ve never seen the Ravens develop receivers the way they have this year. Jaleel Scott is unrecognizable. Miles Boykin is on a steady trajectory and Hollywood is progressing as well. Wouldn’t surprise me to see Modster and Wesley at the same place in their...

    Training Camp and the Preseason

I hope he tries to run against us like he did in the preseason. He will be eulogized by Thomas Jefferson as follows: “Here lies Fitzmagic. He fought valiantly through ups and downs. He shall never grow old.”

FilmStudy, Edgar Allen, Michael Crawford, and (maybe) Spencer Schultz should really collab. FilmStudy does the best comprehensive analysis but those other three guys could add a lot by highlighting specific plays/players with video. I know Ken is working on getting Edgar on the show in the...

I think this is a bit of an overstatement. I have faith in Roman to scheme around any potential weaknesses on the line.

I agree. I think Scott makes it. I don’t see him being active before a rash of injuries that impact ST though.

The kid is all football all the time. You love to see it. With this kind of work ethic just think about what we’re going to see game-over-game and year-over-year as he gets more experience against different schemes.
