I know they care, but it seems theyre clearly satisfied with Mallet as backup, so long as hes only the backup.
They gave him $1m guaranteed this offseason. I cant see them having done that so quickly if they were at all unsure of him being their backup.
Now, if he has to be a starter for us...
Its not - Ozzie and John want him, but Steve doesnt.
It's a - even though the media and fans are wildly speculating, there is absolutely ZERO reason for us to bring in another QB until we KNOW Joe is definitely going to miss games. GAMES. as in multiple, and alot.
Since it was just reported...
Thats cool. But hearing that UDFA receivers had good practices doesnt inspire too much optimism for me. Always hear this every year, and then they dont make the team or actually contribute.
UDFA LB, DL, or maybe even an OL? Ok, i can buy it. But an UDFA at a skill position? Yawn...
Im gonna choose to look on the bright side.
Loved Dixon's potential, but at least this will force us to ride with 1 RB and let him get in a groove, instead of rotating them every 2-3 plays. Time to shine West.
Other than him, Tavon is the only real loss. Canady stinks bc he was getting buzz...
Tavon Young and Dixon are the only real losses so far.
If/when Mangold's healthy and makes the decision he definitely wants to play, he'll be here. Im guaranteeing you thats the only hold up. Either hes not fully healed, or hasnt decided he 100% wants to play. Maybe hes said I'll play for "X"...
My 2 cents... all the backup talk, whether about Kap or RG3, its all just a PR front.
The second there was a whiff of a Flacco injury, a well-respected NFL "insider" reported immediately it was a 3-6 week injury, minimum. Automatically stirs up the Kap talk whether we like it or not.
Come to...
Orr, Dixon, Pitta, Waller, Flacco, Urschel, Camp.... am I missing anyone?
And we havent even had the 1st TC practice yet.
I thought the whole getting a new head trainer was supposed to solve this issue (excluding Orr/Waller/Urschel of course).
Saquan Barkley....
Thats right, im calling my shot now. We loved Zeke, and loved Fournette.... we're gonna do whatever it takes to get Barkley.
With the way the injuries and retirements are panning out, we may not have to do too much to get him other than just select when we're on the clock.
They released the 1st episode of the new podcast where Ellison does a deep dive on a certain topic... this ones the Harbaughs and it was actually pretty good.
I advise everyone give it a try. Called "Man in the Crowd" or something like that. Can get it on iTunes, or Sound Cloud or wherever...
Well at least we have Bobby Rainey... practically like having prime Ray Rice back, amiright guys???
At least that was the consensus back when everyone lost their shit when we didnt put him on the 53 in 2013 or w/e and he ran for 200 yds that first game for TB.
Well, the guy Oz and Harbs were hoping could become our Edelman/Welker goes down yet again to injury, and this season they're not holding out hope that he comes back finally and proves him self so they're double dipping.
Woodhead wasnt quite enough... had to go and get Whalen too.
Might spell...
Absolutely... ive been saying this would be a much bigger signing than people would give credit for.
One of the reasons I think is bc Joe needs that dump off weapon. Besides the fact that I think Woodhead is a more dynamic player period... when Pitta's the go to dump off, hes usually sitting...
No - its all on point.
If you have a pretty good idea of why i deemed something necessary... youve assumed something about me. Thats wrong. Honestly i dont even know what that means bc i didnt answer for sledgehammer.
My post didnt say "I know he meant this, and that means "X" about his...
So 4 roster moves made... Eluemenor moved to the NFI list (some guessing he failed the Conditioning test, though nothing confirmed), one UDFA safety waived for injury, and 2 UDFA's placed on the PUP list (DL Pat Ricard and Bailey the WR).
This leaves exactly ONE roster spot open. Hmm...
Doubt...
Yea during camp guys that dont have a permanent place in the area stay together in a hotel. Pretty sure all the rookies are asked to so they spend the down time together and bond. Not sure if its mandatory, but my guess is that it is. They want these guys accountable for eachother.
I believe as...
