They have insurance on his contract which strangely enogh can be used to reduce the cap hit. I saw this pretty recently, had no idea that it worked that way

Almost sounds like a fake... this was the only way except a lawsuit that the Browns can get out of the cap hit (due to the insurance) and Happy Endings doesn't even have to play to get fully paid. And neither side has to be embarrased by his on-field performace.
That said, I don't really think...
I read somewhere (can't remember where) that Jackson actually has a reaaly good record in the cold, but bad in windy games. Since I can't find the source, take it with a grain of salt.
