    Most Hated Teams

I don't hate Pittsburg either, they're just like us, but better, sadly. I hate Dallas for all that America's team stuff, for the media obsession and mostly for Jerrah. I hate New England for cheating but mostly for the way you're not allowed to hit Brady. (I'm still annoyed by Suggs legit...

Dennis Pitta - Designed Offense is 1 Read and Check Down

I think the reason Joe throws check downs so quickly is that he's playing scared. I have no stats to back it up but he looks flustered as soon as pressure begins to develop and takes off, throws it away or, at best, looks for the checkdown. Can anyone remember the last time Joe completed a...

    Fire Marty

Definitely. With our defence and run game all we need is competent quarterback play. We'd have beaten Tennessee and Chicago and maybe Pittsburg too with just a little more from the QB.

Dennis Pitta - Designed Offense is 1 Read and Check Down

I don't disagree. Marty has to go but the Flacco has used the checkdown too much his whole career and the article posted by city5 and bmore suggests that at least some of the checkdowns aren't Marty's fault. I was digressinga little but I wanted pick up on the assumption that Flacco starts...

Dennis Pitta - Designed Offense is 1 Read and Check Down

I know we have to PAY Flacco for one more year but that doesn't mean we have to PLAY him next year. I don't understand why everyone assumes we have to start him. He is rated as one of the worst QBs in the league this year ahead of a few rookies we may never see again after this season, and I...

    Fire Marty

I check every day expecting to see that Marty has been fired and every day he's still here. How bad does the offense need to be before Roman gets the job?

The Ugly, the Ugly, and the Downright Atrocious: Week 7 Edition

I don't watch a lot of college football but I take it this Jesus guy is a quarterback/guard/receiver.

    Fire Marty

For years I've believed that Harbaugh's first thought when hiring co-ordinators is not 'Who is the best person for the job?' but rather 'Has this guy messed up as a head coach?' Meaning that however bad we look, it difficult for fans to call for Harbaugh's head because we never have anyone in...

The Ugly, the Ugly, and the Downright Atrocious: Week 7 Edition

Exactly. We have to pay Flacco next year but we don't need to play him. I'd rather see Woodrum, or even Mallett, playing now on the grounds that, how could they be worse?

    Fire Dean Pees Thread

I know the offence is terrible and Flacco is done, but this week I don't feel like criticising the offence. Our receivers and O line were so overmatched that we never had a chance today. It's Pees defence I hate today. We actually have talent on the defence - not as much as we thought in...

    The Offensive Line Thread

I'm not sure our line will look as good against Chicago as last week. Oakland mostly bring pressure from the edges and our tackles are good. Chicage can bring a bit more pressure up the middle against our guards. If Chicago can do that and stop the run it could look like Jacksonville /...

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: Week 5 Edition

Every week is different, isn't it? The Good - All the players but especially the O line. Flacco's return to form. Onwausor getting the start ahead of Correa. Jensen, Hurst and Stanley's run blocking. The Bad - Marty's too conservative play calling in the 3rd quarter could have let them back into...

    The Offensive Line Thread

I know the consensus seems to be that we need to draft o-line next year but I was thinking about what we already have. Next year could be good. If Jensen and Howard continue to play well, Yanda returns and Stanley remains good then we add whoever looks best out of Lewis, Siragusa and Elumunor at...

    WR/RB Thread

Perriman doesn't play like he's big unfortunately. Never mind Boldin, even Aiken worked well with Flacco, and I don't see why Matthews shouldn't at least give us more than Perriman has so far.

    The Offensive Line Thread

'continuing' ? Did Bergstrom struggle against the Browns? He's no Yanda but I take some comfort in realising we're not alone. It looks like half the league have offensive line problems. There just aren't enough good players to go round. In the next draft everyone will be going after o-linemen...

    Next Up: @Jacksonville

I was nervous when we signed Wallace because he didn't even look like he was trying for his last couple of teams but I liked him last season. I'm worried in case he's decided to revert to type and coast through this season. I hope not, because we need at least one of those two to step up and...

    WR/RB Thread

We already have a big receiver in Chris Matthews. He was one playcall away from being Superbowl MVP, so he has shown he can play in the NFL as opposed to Strong. I would like to see us use Matthews more though. Joe has always liked, and been successful with, big receivers.

They do, but I hoped after week 1 that we might be better. We still could.
