    Signings, Cuts, Trades

At minimum I'd want two second round picks for Bateman.

    2026 DB Thread

Chris Johnson from San Diego State would be a great second round pickup. He's got amazing movement skills, and can mirror just about anyone. Also very quick decision making when going for the ball. He's not particularly physical which is one notable hangup with him, but he's a guy that can start...

    2026 WR Thread

Bryce Lance is an interesting height/weight/speed prospect. He's actually got really good hands, and is smart about when he goes up for the ball. Bit of a one trick pony, but does that trick really well. If he can learn better techniques for handling press coverage he could be a really useful...

    2026 NFL Draft General Discussion

I'd take Shadiq. If he plays to his potential then he'll bring a lot more to the offense than Lemon. Ioane would be a really good choice too.

Fano is like a 50/50 shot at best at 14. Probably can't get him with a trade down. Ioane might be available a little later, but I could see the Chargers taking him at 17 or the Browns at 21.

    2026 NFL Draft General Discussion

Chad Reuter put up a four round mock on NFL's official site. 1. Ioane 2. Eli Stowers, TE, Vanderbilt 3. Josh Cameron, WR, Baylor 4. Brian Parker, C, Duke Honestly would be a solid draft.

I'm going Fano. I think he has a higher ceiling, and he can fill any spot on the line.

    2026 OL Thread

Wonder if we could trade back, get him in the late 1st, and have more picks to use on the trenches. It wouldn't be plan A for me, but something worth considering.

They aren't ideal length, but it's not like he's working with stubbs. They're only about an inch shorter than the top tackle of the draft.

    2026 OL Thread

He's basically a high end starter at every position on the line. Center is likely his weakest spot, but he could start there if we needed. More likely to be starting G with the upside of being able to move around if needed.

    2026 OL Thread

Weirdly enough it feels like Fano keeps slipping further down the list of top guys on most lists. I feel like the odds of him being there are surprisingly good.

Best case scenario is that he follows the path of Justice Hill. Hill looked awful his rookie year despite his amazing speed, but he steadily improved.

I personally really like Jake Slaughter from Florida.

So I guess the focus now is who are we taking in the second round. There are a few good guards that should be there in the 2nd and 3rd.

    2026 Offseason Thread

I don't think the Steelers are willing to spend enough to get Willis. There won't be much of a bidding war for Murray.

    2026 NFL Draft General Discussion

Honestly if Fano is gone and there's no big slide from a top 5 guy I kinda want Shadiq. For the first year he can play a lot from the slot or two TE formations, and fully take over as the top TE next season. Despite the positional value I think he would bring more to our offense than any of the...

    2026 Offseason Thread

The Rams are probably the best team at drafting in the league. They were regularly finding starters in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and even 5th round. I doubt any other team could have been successful like that. Also on the flip side the Eagles got just as much success with a young, mostly drafted team...

I kinda want Gennings Dunker just for that amazing mullet.

Yeah, the hit rate in general in that draft is probably around 1/3. Also to be fair, we saw Bateman go off occasionally, and Oweh was better on another team. Not exactly 1st round numbers for them, but they aren't big misses. Especially compared to the rest of the back of the 1st that year.

I personally wouldn't really want another DB in the first round, but I can't argue against McCoy if he's there.
