The trade chart isn’t everything, but to illustrate how “worthless” those late picks are…
The Ravens could trade 4.27, all four 6ths, and the 7th. And that only gets them to 4.3
Trading all of the 6ths and the 7th outright is an equivalent value of 4.28
So possible but the chances of them...
In any other year I might agree, but this is a fairly deep class. Not a lot of top end talent, but a lot of NFL-level players. There are likely to be role players available way late in this draft, which has not been the case in the last few. We’re starting to get some of those seniors that have...
I don’t think they want to use them all either, but those late picks aren’t valuable enough to constitute any significant move up. I know they hope to flip 1 or 2 into a pick next year but no guarantee anyone is going to want to bite on it.
As someone with a source... you'd be surprised how much people are willing to talk though. Information isn't near as locked down as organizations would like to think/present.
Philly out here doing Philly things though. They have so much talent on that roster already that they can afford to take risks like this on premiere players.
From my source:
"Entered today thinking they'd be picking between Booker and Starks. They're happy to get one of them. Didn't expect Booker to go that early though"
I've got nothing from him on the Simmons front
I wonder if part of the Simmons concern was his ability to slide inside. He feels about as pure OT as it gets.
(yes I mixed him up with Donovan Jackson earlier tonight)
