Signings, Cuts, Trades

We've had so many backs since Ray Rice that could of have been but their injuries destroyed them.

Remember Kenneth Dixon? Smh
Which is another good reason not to trade a high pick for a RB who already has 3 years of NFL wear, plus a huge number of college carries. Taylor might be an exception, like Derrick Henry, who can be great year after year, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Could also sign one of the like 10 quality RBs who are scheduled to be FAs next year, and likely for half the price of Taylor. That market is going to shock people.
And then add somebody later in the draft.
Why would LB be on the list if you just used a third round pick on an inside LB this past year?
WR is a "maybe", depending on what happens with OBJ. Agholor wouldn't be expensive to retain, and we still have Flowers and Bateman under contract no matter what.
Corner is a problem.
Oline "might" be a problem, depending on how we view Simpson. If he plays well throughout the year, he could be retained for a Mekari-level contract. Moses and Zeitler are likely gone, but you also already have Mekari and Faalele on the roster at Tackle. So you may only need a Guard and some depth.
Dline is actually a more pressing area.
Rush LB is also a maybe. You have Ojabo, Oweh, Bowser and Tavius under contract for certain.

A lot of our "needs" for next year are depth pieces, starters at relatively cheaper positions (RB, Guard, Dline). It's more of a quantity over quality scenario.
let's also not forget that we have Vorhees in waiting

a) there's like eight teams "rumored" to be trading for Taylor. And the Ravens are one of them also. He's basically been "rumored" to any team that is struggling to run the ball or is missing a high-end RB (which is at least half the league).
b) Najee Harris isn't a good NFL RB. The only thing I'm surprised by is it's taking this long for people to realize it. Textbook plodder. Will get only what's blocked for him, and nothing more. And the Steelers Oline hasn't blocked well in years.
Looked like he may have been an asset as a receiver out of the backfield but that hasn’t exactly panned out this year either

Somebody mentioned that EDC has yet to draft an offensive Pro-Bowler since he took over.

Part of me feels like that does not matter and another part of me says it does.

Ojabo over Pickens….

When we gon have that EDC dialogue?

Cause he mid at best
Ojabo is one thing , but the year prior he also tried to fix our sack issues by drafting a guy with zero sacks in his final season. I’ve been saying it, heat up that seat for EDC

1/3 of the vote comes from fans so it’s hard to put a lot of stock in it but i get what your saying

Curious to see how we approach the IR to return guys at this point. We only get 8 and we're at risk of burning some on some eh players very early in the season. Malik Hamm, Keaton Mitchell, David Ojabo, Tylan Wallace, Ar'Darius Washington, and Pepe Williams are the ones eligible so far. Hard for me to see them burning one on a guy like Hamm for instance.
