That is insane..... not the contracts they signed because both earned them but the fact Cincy was able to re-sign both. Going to have to wait for the cap hits to be published but I imagine it's a very small window before the cap hits of Burrow, Chase & Higgins have to be restructured. It wouldn't surprise me if they go all defense in the draft.

So if you extend Chase now, you can very easily keep them together for one more year. Chase will still be on a cheap contract for the next two years minimum if you extend him this offseason.

I personally hope they keep them both on long term deals. It'll put the entire burden of rebuilding their defense and strengthening their Oline on the draft, because that Ownership team will never spend the $ they should to build a stud roster.

Yea I mean, same team they’ve always been but way more expensive. Our defense was in shambles both times we played them, if we can get back to 2023 level and our offense continues to play well it should be some more convincing wins again. Lamar already 10-1 as a starter

definitely would have matched the texans for that deal
have to imagine the ravens weren't interested at all given the price of that deal

i think he would have been a really nice CB3 option, especially at that price

but ravens don't really like retreads at DB (whereas they love them in the front 7)
