Every single move feels lateral. Now the diva's at Qb instead. Russ wasn't bad last year, I don't even see the upgrade there. Feels like a franchise that's out of ideas

When Russ was leaned on, he was good for a moonball or two late in the game, and they traded away the guy that caught them all, and outside of that Russ was ass.

Their offense desperately relied on the run game working, and when it didn’t work it needed low percentage plays to hit to even move the ball

If they had any sense they would’ve kept fields and continued leaning into the run game. They literally could’ve competed with every team in the league every week if their run game was working consistently, fields allows that, Russ just gives you a deep ball at the expense of everything else.

yeah see the exact same script going with Rodgers. He'll miss a few games, he'll prove to still be a very effective game manager who can make some good throws in big spots, and he'll shrink when the games on his shoulders behind that oline.

I think they just want to win a playoff game at all costs to take some heat off Tomlin and Omar Khan for a few years. Then next year they'll draft a rookie QB and be given time for that to work. Another standard Steelers season and it might be someone else picking and coaching the rookie.

No idea who this guy is but I've been following him for a bit and he's not perfect, but he seems plugged in more often that not. I can confirm they've been engaged with Likely (and some other guys) with some level of aggressiveness over the last few weeks though so I wouldn't doubt it by any means.

They’re keeping Andrews unless they can get a day 2 pick back. The offers they got early in the offseason weren’t close to that.

They had a thought of clearing the money early in the offseason, but now that he's locked in, the value of Mark Andrews on the field for 1 year is greater than the value they'd get in return.
