Signings, Cuts, Trades

I predict that we trade for someone we totally didn’t expect or hear any rumors about, and they won’t move the needle, but we will hear about how we wouldn’t part with an extra 3rd to land a superstar that would’ve put us over the hump

more pain

Shit's getting old. Saw the Eagles are interested in Kamara. Like how tf are we not able to have such a talented roster like theirs with a QB on his rookie deal?

1. If we're talking this year, Lamar counts like $22M more than Hurts does. Remember, Hurts is a 2nd round pick.
2. The Eagles are sort of cringe-worthy with how they structure their deals. Like they've backloaded the absolute crap out of a ton of their contracts.
They'll get to a point in the next 3-4 years where Hurts will be expensive, and they'll have to get rid of a lot of the players you see out there today. Or continuously kick the can down the road into oblivion. Basically do what the Saints did.
3. People also need to realize that, since their SB win, the Eagles have been largely irrelevant for four years now. They're 31-33-1 in the previous four years, and never won more than 9 games in any of them. They spent 2019-2021 trading away a lot of players, which is how you get a lot of draft picks.

I don't see Roquan for three reasons:
1. He'd still cost ~$5M this year, which I think is more than we want to take on.
2. He's a pure rental, which I think, ideally, if you're acquiring a player of his caliber, you'll want to sign long term. Not sure we're in a position to do that at the moment.
3. Like most "available players", I'm not sold Chicago wants to deal him. That team has an unfathomable amount of cap space available for 2023-forward, and I would think he would be one of the building blocks of a defense that has some talent but needs to fill in some pieces.

100% agree. Its a luxury signing, but in my fantasy world the Ravens have stopped being fiscally responsible in the hopes of jamming a super bowl down our throats

I would like Bradley Chubb but I don't know what his contract looks like.

Saints are adamant on wanting a similar offer to what the Niners gave up for McCaffrey. Also, I find it hard to believe the Saints would trade him to the same team they play days after the deadline.
McCaffery currently looks well worth it….so far . Although I think we all know an injury and missed time is coming soon. If he can stay healthy and they have a deep playoff run with Jimmy G, Deebo, and McCaffery it seems worth it.

If Bateman is out 4 or so weeks or longer and one of the two following things does not happen, expect to lose games we should win.

1) Desean Jackson because a superhero. Not gonna happen.

2) We make a big trade OR Odell signs with us and is actually high quality.

Devin Duvernay as WR1, DRob as WR2, and James Proche as WR3 will not win games against teams with good run defenses.

Even with healthy Bateman, we need another quality WR. With Bateman missing multiple weeks again, proper trade would be a no-brainer.
A no brainer. You're forced too unless you are willing to accept the consequences that you will lose more games than you'd otherwise would

Alternatively they simply tag and trade Hurts because he is not that good. He is good for a second but even the bad starters are better. He is simply being carried by a loaded roster and if they sign him, they will have the same problem as when they signed Wentz.

Signing hurts would be a huge mistake imo
