Scouting Department-Senior Scouts

As Bisciotti mentioned at his presser, he mentioned the need to rebuild the scouting department with new senior scouts. This will most likely happen after the draft as scouts contracts run from May to May for the most part.

This thread will be a constructive thread regarding how to build the scouting department up again.

Most teams apply to a scouting service as well. We are one of the 5 or 6 teams that don’t use one and feel we should start using one. The more information they have the better.

Ok so basically what this means is that we still have all the umqualified 25 year olds that Bisciotti was eluding to, finishing out this year with Ozzie and THEN were gonna hire senior scouts when Decosta takes over.....

The real problem is we don't have guys with experience outside of Oz, DeCosta and Joe Ortiz. Basically after that they're all too young and wet behind the ears and we need senior guys to come in and not only provide great scouting, but also teach the young ones we're developping. This is what losing guys like Jeremiah has done to us, there is a missing link between two generations and we need to get it back asap.
