Stafford is still so underrated. He's always throwing his wide receivers open and is still one of the best QB's in the game. He's constantly elevating his teammates play around him.

Stafford and Hebert are the same Qb imo. Excellent high end franchise Qb's that usually stand right behind the cut off line for 'elite"

I dnt think he was mediocre at all as a passer. Russ ass now so is prime is over lol. Stafford still pretty good and still has crazy arm strength..i feel like players usually are out their prime once they fall off.

Agreed. In his prime, objectively one of the best deep passers in the league for a number of years. At minimum, a rock solid passer.

I would even say this about Burrow so far. Yes he had an early SuperBowl appearance, but he is still around .500 win percentage. And just like Stafford and Herbert we can see them carry a team surrounded by great weapons. But can't carry a team to 12+ wins in a season by themselves like you have seen with Mahomes, Allen, and Lamar.

I agree the 3 are very close. I have them as the 4th-6th best qb's right now and where exactly elite stops and top end franchise starts is a gray area that can even change season to season.

He's in a pretty darn good system with McVay and did win the SB once. His receivers are pretty darn good in LA, when healthy.

Not even debatable. Prime Russ was a mediocre passer carried by an amazing defense and big WRs while having an all pro RB to take the edge off. The moment Lamar got JUST the all pro RB he put together one of the best seasons in NFL history.

I also think it’s weird that we consider Russ past his prime but not Stafford when they are the same age.

Because russ fell off while Stafford aged like a fine wine

Did Lamar really say he’s switching to a 1 jersey if he wins the Superb Owl?

Like. Keep that ish to yourself.

This is old. I think it was said when they changed the restrictions on jersey #s
Ah. I’m seeing it all over fb currently. Supposedly he said it during an episode of “The Lounge”. I guess it’s just being brought up again.

Apparently Lamar was 1st team AP All Pro. Kinda makes me think he will also be the MVP. Anyone know if there’s a causation?

AI would say yes, there is...

RESULT:
  • 2014: Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) – MVP and First-Team All-Pro.
  • 2015: Cam Newton (Carolina Panthers) – MVP and First-Team All-Pro.
  • 2016: Matt Ryan (Atlanta Falcons) – MVP and First-Team All-Pro.
  • 2017: Tom Brady (New England Patriots) – MVP and First-Team All-Pro.
  • 2018: Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs) – MVP and First-Team All-Pro.
  • 2019: Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens) – MVP and First-Team All-Pro.
  • 2020: Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) – MVP and First-Team All-Pro.
  • 2021: Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) – MVP and First-Team All-Pro.

1987 was the last time a 1st team QB didn't win the MVP (excluding times when QBs did not win MVP)

many many years ago a reporter asked if he would change his number and he said he'd consider changing to 1 but only after winning the super bowl.

I hope he just sticks to 8
