They might need to re-weigh himHe got them good shits
it would be nice to get a day 3 WR pick right.Hopefully Walker pans out.
Ravens Rookie WR Shines at Training Camp
It's rare that a fourth-round pick comes into the NFL with as much hype as Baltimore Ravens rookie wide receiver Devontez Walker. Walker, 23, unfortunately misswww.si.com
Vorhees in particular has apparently done everything right so far. Put in the work during his recovery both physically and in the film room. They've wanted him to win the job and it sounds like it would take a total collapse for him not get it.Linderbaum said as much the other day
looks also like Vorhees is taking almost all the LG reps too
right now, looks like the 1s to start training camp are:
Stanley
Vorhees
Linderbaum
Faalele
Mekari
havent seen much evidence of Rosengarten taking the 1s reps at all
if that really is the starting 5 with Rosengarten starting the season as the backup RT, then got to think that Josh Jones is locked into a 53 man spot
the fact that Harbs has specifically said that he doesnt think they'll have sorted the starting OL group out by the first preseason game suggests to me that they need Vorhees and Faalele to prove it, but also want to keep the door open for Rosengarten to earn it and push Mekari back to a swing spot
also makes you wonder just how bad of an offseason person is ben cleveland because this dude puts out nothing but decent tape in relief or spot starts but cannot win a starting job to save his life during the offseason period
Ben Cleveland is a lazy disinterested motherfucker. I’m done with him, he can put out decent tape but even the good reps are full of low effort and quitting before the whistle, you can’t trust him, if he gets enough Sunday reps eventually he’s gonna cause a serious fuck up just by not finishing playsLinderbaum said as much the other day

Injured?Malik Hamm has had the worst luck.
Malik Hamm has had the worst luck.
Sounds like he unknowingly popped a ligament in the knee during yesterday's practiceInjured?
He has the requisite frame and body to be a great offensive guard. But, like you say, without the 'want' to have it, he simply won't. If he isn't a starter, he is a trade or cut candidate IMO.the guy just doesn't have it nor the want to have it.
I highly doubt they’re giving the first team guard reps all training camp to a guy they want/expect to start at RT, especially a guy who’s got like 5 starts to his name. Mekari, sure, but faalele I would think is repping at RT if the coaches see him starting there, bad idea to not let the dude practice his position for his first season startingI believe Ben Cleveland is the guy. I don't think for one second Faalele is your starting RG. If Rosengarten is so far behind that Mekari is in line for your starting RT then I'm pretty sure Faalele would just be your starting RT and Mekari stays as your utility guy.
Even if they really did put Mekari there, I just can't imagine that Faalele is a legitimately better RG than Cleveland or even Sala.
When it comes time for preseason games, I think we'll see Cleveland is the best RG and he'll be the starter.
I think you're both right and wrong on this in my opinion. I think Cleveland is the guy they know what they have, and if they have to start him when the season rolls around, so be it. I think they want someone else to win the job though, and Faalele seems to be the top candidate as of now.I believe Ben Cleveland is the guy. I don't think for one second Faalele is your starting RG. Cleveland has to be one of the biggest enigmas out there. Everything I've seen is that the coaches just don't trust him. Like you said, he plays well, but apparently the inconsistent effort and play during everything but gameday just has him in a tough spot. Still not discounting the Ben Powers possibility here though - the guy that seemingly falls out of favor, but all along was the guy that was the real option if the ones you hope step up don't.
