Sadly I don’t have a good feeling about this game. Preseason and TC reports haven’t been encouraging, lots of unknowns starting, new DC, there’s not much reason to be optimistic about week 1.

This team should get better as the year goes on though.

My biggest concerns were OL and def going into TC and nothing has changed. I'm less worried about the personnel, but more so playcalling and adjustments. Have watched the run d get diddled in preseason, but we haven't seen the starters out there. If the defense can show me something, I'll be less worried about the offense early. I'm fine with our edge guys if they stay healthy.

After the debacle known as the 2021 season, they made it clear that the starters are not gonna play in the preseason. It'll prolly be like forever lol.

2022 season opener: offense started slow and didn't really get going until the 3rd.

I expect our offense to be no different. I worry who our RB2 is gonna be. Defensively, can Ojabo actually STAY HEALTHY FOR A FUCKING CHANGE? Will Oweh step up this season?

Hill. With a true #1 rb I think the run game is less stagnant to start the season.

Correct. There is nothing Lamar can do in the regular season to boost his stock as his reputation is a great regular season QB who folds in the playoffs. Unfortunately that means for him anything before January can’t help him and can only hurt his stock.

Looks like 2.5-3 so a pretty neutral line. Basically the Chiefs get the home field advantage of 3pts but otherwise Vegas has it as a toss up.

I personally won’t touch this game. Regular season Lamar could be dominant but Mahomes might also want to show off having an actual NFL WR again. Add in the new coordinator on defense and the unknowns about both teams replacing some big pieces and it’s just too unpredictable for me to touch.
