With no CMC, I fully think the Jets win here. So much of the 49ers offense is CMC and having to scheme to stop him and without him, the 49ers offense takes a loss.
 
Um... are we sure Rodgers getting injured last year was the problem? Rodgers is not playing well despite one or two plays.

I rather have it happen the first game on a Friday night so I could enjoy the fall weather outside on a Sunday, than it happen later on in the season when the weather is not great, knowing that I wasted all my time watching a team that has no chance when Malik Willis is my backup. Also, if my team was not going to win a Lombardi because I lost my franchise quarterback, I would rather it be the first game for the draft stock, possibly low enough for a generational blue chipper. Lastly, your player will have maximum time to heal before next season.
