Resolved email notifications

Receiving e-mail notifications every time someone posts in a thread that I have commented in is really becoming an annoyance. I have unchecked the email notification box in my profile but it hasn't corrected the problem. There has to be a way to turn this off.

Are you receiving email notifications for old threads or new threads that you are watching?
