just saw this - leaves the browns job wide open
im still surprised they havent even interviewed or thought about jay gruden but heyho

means one of the favourites for the browns job is gone which means roman is still in danger of moving on i suppose
This is exactly what I thought, when I heard the Cowboys hired McCarthy. BTW, many in the Browns building wanted Stefanski last year and I believe he still is the favorite.

How epic would it be if they hired Josh McDaniels.
He is interviewing this week and it's well known in addition to liking Lamar Jackson in 2018, he also liked Mayfield. I could absolutely see McDaniels as head coach of the Browns. Also, McDaniels would be hard pressed to turn down the Browns since he is from Ohio himself. Rumors also have it that he would recommend bringing Nick Cesario with him to become the GM.

seems to be official

MIKE NOLANDL, NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

NFL Network's Jane Slater reports Saints LB coach Mike Nolan is expected to join the Cowboys.
Specifically, Slater's source said, "That’s what I’ve heard in the building ... Mike came by and said goodbye. I’d say it’s pretty certain." Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero added that the Cowboys are "zeroing in on" Nolan. He's spent the past three seasons coaching the Saints linebackers. Previously Nolan held defensive coordinator positions with the Falcons, Dolphins, Broncos, Ravens, Redskins, Jets, and Giants dating back to 1993. Nolan also served as the 49ers' head coach from 2005-2008, during which time new Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy was his offensive coordinator. The Cowboys boasted the league's 11th-ranked scoring defense in 2019.

Lions fans will now feel better knowing Clowney is going to get a few phantom hands to the face penalties and that Seattle will now be the next team Clete Blakeman screws over with bogus penalties.
