I'd agree with thatespecially towards the end of the 3rd round and into the 4th round (that's where im projecting they get taken - amik robertson, josiah scott etc.)

i think the obvious thing to say for your concerns is that no team is ever satisfied at every position in a salary cap world
that being said we have 5 picks in the first 2 days of the draft for only the 2nd time in franchise history (2008) and 3 picks on the first 2 days of the draft for the 2nd time in franchise history (2003)
we wont fill every need in the draft and not every pick on day 1 and day 2 will be a hit but that kind of ammo will provide us with at least 2 and hopefully more immediate impact players to this roster which likely (if they are immediate impact players) will fill some of those needs youve listed
with LB specifically i think we saw how you can improve that position on the fly if you cant find a great talent there, with EDGE it's going to be tricky but the addition of calais campbell eases the pass rush burden that will hopefully help out any edge rusher we do bring in (or jaylon ferguson takes a step but we're not banking on that)
to me the biggest need on this team right now is IOL but it only needs to be 1 guy to make the whole unit click so it doesnt necessarily need an overhaul on the OL just 1 hit at 1 of 3 spots on the line - not an easy task but certainly not prohibitively difficult
we will draft a WR in this class, we will draft an OL in this class, we probably draft a corner too given the depth in the class, we probably draft at least 1 edge too
that doesnt fix everything you've listed but it's hard to say where this offseason is lacking until after the draft happens
You're absolutely right. Don't get me wrong, I think we've got a strong team. Should still be top dogs in the AFC. I just feel that even after the draft, this year's team will be slightly worse than last year's.
Justin Ellis? Don't see it.
Yeah not feeling Justin Ellis. Bynes feels like way more of a necessity than bynes with us still having bwill and also having brockers

Jimmy has been to often injured for the market to give him a lot of interest . Plus he’s old . I think we get him backAccording to Zrebiec we're still interested in jimmy smith - my guess is if his market is colder than he expects that he'll come back but it'll have to be close to on the ravens's terms with regards to money
i thought it was a done deal that jimmy was gone but i wonder if jimmy's market is just not coming to fruition

I think jimmy seeing his market not as big as he had expected, he would gladly come back to Baltimore for a little bit less than other teams are offering.
for some odd reason I actually think jimmy was sincere earlier in the year when he talked hometown discount
idk that we'll be worse - we're not as deep as we were last year but with players coming back the only position where we've got meaningfully worse is on the OL and the draft hasnt even happened yet
+ what we think of as last year's team didnt even fully come into place until around week 6 during the season
before that game we had holes at corner, LB, under-performing starting safety, DL was getting bullied - and we lost pernell mcphee so our edge rush was awful - to end the year we had jaylon and judon as the starting OLBs - jaylon wasn't even active to start the season behind mcphee, tim williams and tyus bowser
jihad ward wasnt on the team
all of that to say the story of this roster and its strengths and weaknesses are not determined in mid-march
Time to get triggered! This is what I've been feeling..we havent really improved overall. overall we're not as good of a football team and behold..a couple of hours ago this was posted.
Losing yanda obviously is a huge blow. But we still got the draft to upgrade our team. With what again? Like 8 picks in the first 4 rounds? We should wait til after the draft before hitting the panic button.
true but why did we sign brockers when we could have got some really good players in position of need like BJ Finney or Corey littleton?
I don’t know much about BJ Finney. I never even heard of him tbh. I assume the gap between him and what we got in Bozeman, merkari and powers is insignificant to be spending money on and risking a comp pick loss in next year’s formula. We’re 100% going to draft a interior Olineman. And I bet that prospect will have a higher upside / ceiling than a BJ Finney.
Corey Littleton would’ve been nice, but I like the Brockers pickup as well. Campbell, b will, Brockers is one hell of a front.
Free agency and the draft goes hand in hand. Patrick Murray and Queen are the big names, but I actually like the next tier at their value (2nd round and beyond) that can be had: Malik Harrison, Troy Dye, Akeem Davis-Gaither. You know EDC loves predicting how the draft is going to fall. Probably assume Dline will be scoop up fast and the positions he didn’t address in FA will be more available in the draft.
Finney is massively underrated and better than bozeman, mekari and as for powers, can't judge powers yet so.
please don't say patrick murray...that's subtraction by addition.
