The Good, The Bad and The Ugly - Titans Edition

He had arguably the best line last year though and was still erratic on a lot of throws. We just forgave him because it was his first full season. At some point, enough is enough. I’m a firm believer that Roman won’t be here next season so I suppose we’ll see if a creative mind that can actually make adjustments is what Lamar really needs, or if he’s reached his potential, in which case, I’m saying no to a lucrative deal.

I don't agree with that. He was damn good last season. Of course he missed some throws - every QB does, but he was one of the most efficient passers in the league. And you know why? Because he had time and clean mechanics. What doesn't he have this year? Time and clean mechanics.

He's not perfect and he's never going to be perfect, but we know he can be a lot better than this. He's definitely part of the problem this year but he's far from the only problem. Can't forget that he's only 23 years old. He's got plenty of time to get better and he's already shown that he can be better.

Can we put harbs back on the hot seat?
I'm not sure..
What about our FO? What did they plan when Marshal Yanda retired? "Just draft a couple of rookies and we're good" ?
I've said all along that we underestimated the influence he had.

It really is amazing how much impact he had. Part of the problem is also Skura at C and him not being close to what he was last year, but it can't be understated how much of a loss Yanda is. Heading into the draft, that would be my prime objective - beef up this trenches. OL needs an overhaul in the interior, minus Bozeman maybe.

Need to beef up the DL as well. We have a good one but they're all older and we haven't really gotten to see them play much together. Fix the trenches and I think we'll be good.

Hell, I'd be willing to make a serious trade for a bonafide WR as well.

It does suck and it's unfortunate, but he's 10 games removed from being a unanimous MVP. And the problems are far deeper. Now, if we get 2-3 more seasons in and we're still seeing the same problems even with better personnel, then I think we know where the problem is. But it's far too early to hit the panic button on Lamar's career.

We also need to realize that he's never going to be this dominant 4500 yard passer. It's easy to put those expectations on him and I think we'll be better off when the coaching staff and Lamar himself realize that he doesn't have to be a pocket passer. Let him do what he does best and we'll be okay. But we need to get him some help to enable him to be himself again.

At the end of the day you gotta hit certain throws esp. when the game is on the line.
However at the moment there are a lot of factors that negatively impact our game. Drops, unnecessary penalties, bad playcalling, bad throws & bsd reads. That's just too much to overcome. It's not as bad as it seems but they have to fix it asap.

It’s just not consistent though. I see Herbert, Burrow, etc make those throws all the time and they’re rookies. We need to stop babying Lamar
If it continues like this with Lamar do we really give him a monster contract after the rookie deal ? I certainly would not as there are simply too many deficiencies showing up in his game .

I just watched the chargers in the first half find multiple ways to get Keenan Allen the ball. He lined up on both sides and slot

I'm watching these other games and seeing the receivers make plays and it frustrates me so much. Even Perriman is having success with a winless Jets team. So frustrating.

Yeah I don't like this either. Between this and the thing about the Chiefs, this isn't a good look on Lamar.

Lamar is speaking truth! The Titans got in the Ravens head when they went and stood on the Shield at the 50 yard line and the players and coaches had words. Wolfe said it at his presser that; "Teams are coming for them cause they had a good season last season and have the reigning MVP". The reality is that EVERY TEAM "seems" to WANT IT MORE when playing the Ravens EXCEPT the damn Ravens! That's why they are losing games they should be winning (injuries and all....every team is banged up during this time).

I get the vibe that this iteration of the ravens is going to crash and burn, it feels like it’s quickly unraveling in dramatic fashion. The Lamar and harbaugh era might be over by the 2023 offseason

THIS is the reason for all of the bull :poop: we've been witnessing this season. That damn MADDEN CURSE! Mahomes was on the cover last season and got a knee injury BUT overcame it to win the Superbowl. Lamar? Underthrowing, overthrowing, WIDE OPEN receivers, tossing INT's, unable to break away from defenders as last season and unable to orchestrate come from behind wins this season etc, etc, etc. :brickwall:

I remember him saying he wouldn’t accept it if it was ever offered to him. I was so pissed he said yes lol

How is Dez even a top target on this team. The dude came off of an Achilles rupture and hasn't played a game since 2018.

The Madden Curse. An inevitable force that conquers damn near all. Sad.
