The Effort, The Steelers and The What Even Was That Game?

How are you this drunk this early?
Actually quite the opposite, I was just about to post an apology for my ridiculous ass behavior lol, this is the first ravens game that I haven’t smoked since 2018, I’m a daily weed smoker and for good reason, because I’m an irritable, irrational, and overly reactive ass when I’m not. Basically I got some issues and I use it daily medicinally to act like a normal person, it works wonders. Also I just read Dupree has a torn acl and I feel like an ass now and take back what I said about being glad about it, that’s literally not how I feel but I was saying irrational ass shit cuz I was worked up.

that said, I don’t think the Kyle boller post was irrational lol, if he played one of his games where he just showed up gutsy and played a good game (07 vs pats for example) I think he would’ve done better than rg3 lol. Even on an average day he would’ve.

Can our new starting Oline be

LT: OBJ
LG: Boze
C: TCC
RG: Powers
RT: Mekari

Lamar says thanks.

Maybe MCSorley the whole game could have won this game but we will never know .
I doubt it. He missed just as many wide open throws as RGIII did, and the one good throw he did make was to a wide open player with about 15 yards of air yards.

for me the better and more reasonable "what if" is just...

what if luke wilson just caught the ball like he should have?
That.

Or I'm not sure why we didn't just spike the ball. There was time to do that. People kept thinking we had a shot at two plays. I never saw it. A Peyton-Manning led team maybe, but not a backup.

I thought we should have spiked it and then had time to huddle, get a play in, and go for it. If we missed it we missed it. I wouldn't have cared.

But to rush a play in that spot and then execute it poorly really stings.

My takeaway of this game is the same its been all year... Pittsburgh's offense has significant problems, especially against good defenses, and they'll get beat earlier in the playoffs than people think.

As it were, I've been saying for about two weeks that this game was a write-off for me anyway. I've been on to Dallas for awhile now. Beat Dallas, and you're 7-5, with about as easy of last 3 games as you can get in this league.

10-6 is making the playoffs in the AFC. So that's the target. No reason we can't get there or even 11-5, with a Cleveland sweep.

Even without a full COVID lineup on Tuesday, if we lose to Dallas, I'll sound the alarm.

But I'm predicting two weeks from today we'll be 8-5, and all of the NFL analysts will be saying "look out for the Ravens". Very few pundits look ahead at scheduling and see the big picture.

idk - if vince williams doesnt get away with the delay of game then there's easily a second (or more) left on the clock even after the ball goes incomplete

but it was a well executed play up until the moment wilson dropped it - the speed of the play had no impact on its success - the execution was great, but wilson just didnt hold on

either way it's moot - in the end a FG wasnt the difference because we never even got the chance to drive

Steelers fans: you beat us with mason Rudolph and duck Hodges at qb yeah whoopdee doo

also Steelers fans: 11-0 BAYBEEEE GET THE BROOMS OUT WE GOT THAT SWEEP

This is exactly how I’m feeling, which scares tf out of me because that probably means the opposite will happen.

I’ll go to the pit of misery

Any news on Jimmy Smith? We gonna need him down the road
Just that it's a groin.

A notorious slow healer and he was already questionable with ankle and back ailments, and given he's had injuries this year already, expecting him back in 6 days seems like a long shot to me. But I could be wrong.

I would say Dallas is a bad opponent to have him missing against, but our secondary held up very well without him against a much better passing attack tonight. So if they played like they did today, we should be fine.

Cleveland wouldn't figure to be a game where he'd be that critical either.

That being said... Dallas is in dire straights. It's as close to a must-win game for them as it gets. 3-8, 12 days to prepare, and they'll need at least 3 more wins to have a shot at the division. They can't afford to lose much ground. A loss to the Ravens all but ends their season.

I’m actually really pleased right now, after all this buildup and nonsense and shit talking, our practice squad gave us probably the most entertaining game we’ve played in a very long time.

Any disappointment I felt has worn off, and really the disappointment was just a result of the drama and them over performing so much lol.

Definitely didn't expect this answer, but he did do a good job. Didn't think things would go that smoothly.

I wasn't. I was fucking LIVID. Then I was just numb. That has to be top 3 worse ways a team has lost a meaningful game.

Oh I was all those things, but once the shock wore off, and I saw the patriots lose and I knew damn well we would’ve won that game against the giants, it was just pride and relief, I was proud that joe Flacco grew up and was ready to make it happen, and I felt like he was going to do exactly that.

I took so much pride in being the underdogs that scared the piss out of the big bad patriots, and everyone in the league knew deep down that should’ve been the ravens going to the super bowl.
And bum ass B***y C*****f is a traitor to Ravens Nation. I will never waver on this position. @ me if you wish, I'm not interested in debating this.

no question about that. and i wasnt even hating him(i was not happy with him but i gave him the benefit of the doubt that was a fluke). but then the next preseason he was missing chip shots and then started acting like a petulant child in interviews, oh my god i was so happy to see him go after that.
