I can see where you're coming from, but in certain industries even a decade old accusation could derail your career. It might not, but I can easily see it happening.
If I trashed my former employer and it was documented online, I would not be remotely surprised if that came back to bite me. That's why people talk about not burning bridges.
NFL is a visible, international, entertainment business. The optics matter to them.

Worth noting Gruden's emails spanned from 2011-2018. Seven years of this behavior. It wasn't a few emails in 2011.

I very much agree, but some people having an issue holding people accountable for their actions if it was 10 years ago.

At least both Ohio teams lost. We're still in the thick of it. I think our defense will succumb on their first possession and the offense will continue to struggle.
It’s good for people to be held accountable especially if he was a piece of shit but this digital age is scary. I use to say dumb shit when I was like 13 with no grasp of what it meant. Everything everyone’s ever done is documented and recorded

Is just sad how people will lose their jobs, legacy, reputation and so on for mistakes in the past. People mature, grow up, evolve throughout time. Like I said if this stuff is recent then yeah I agree. But it's just speculation at this point unless they release the emails.
Heck our President has said and done stuff that was clearly and openly racist (yes I went there) but he gets a pass. I just hate the hypocrisy that some get a pass and some don't.
