Hall of Famer
Previews to come later... but tonight we see if the legend of Mike White continues to grow as the Jets travel to Indy to take on the Colts.
Thursday Night Football
Jets @ Colts: Mike White led all Quarterbacks in passing last week and already has his jersey in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Tonight, he looks to keep the Jets in the win coulmn by beating the Colts. Carson Wentz has been 50/50 this season, some good and some bad and now needs a good outing to keep the Colts in Wild Card contention.
Sunday 1PM Games
Browns @ Bengals: All the drama this week has been with Cleveland, and that drama is officially gone as Cleveland released Odell Beckham Jr after finding no trade partners. Cincy looks to get back on track after losing to the Jets, and the Browns need to rebound after losing to the Steelers.
Broncos @ Cowboys: This season was a wash for the Broncos after accepting their Quarterback fate of Drew Lock & Teddy Bridgewater. Denver's underwhelming offense has kept the team from performing beyond it's expectations while Dallas is coming off a road win over Minnesota that saw Cooper Rush get the win in Dak's absence. Dak is likely to return while Denver won't have Left Tackle Garrett Bolles who has missed practice two days in a row.
Texans @ Dolphins: I get it, Arizona showed that if you messed up at QB and have a shot to take a better one, go ahead and do it. They replaced Rosen with Murray and have been better for it since, while Miami has bungled the entire situation with Tua and prefer a Quarterback with a bunch of unsettled legal issues. That quarterback is Deshaun Watson who is now stuck in Houston until the offseason after no deal was made with Miami in an attempt to acquire him. Tyrod Taylor returns to the lineup for Houston and this game has Tank Bowl written all over it.
Falcons @ Saints:
Raiders @ Giants: The good news for the Giants, they almost beat the Chiefs this past Monday. The bad news, Daniel Jones is clearly not the Franchise QB and the Raiders are coming to town as they look to stay in the hunt for the top seed in the AFC. It's been a tough week for the Raiders dealing with Henry Ruggs' antics this week. Things are not trending upward for the Giants as it seems there are rumblings of Dave Gettlemen's future as GM and whether Joe Judge is just another failed coach of the Patriot Way. The only good thing is Saquon Barkley and Xavier McKinney have been removed from the COVID list. Will Joe Judge last beyond this season or can they turn it around?
Patriots @ Panthers:
Bills @ Jaguars: It does seem the race is on between Urban Meyer and Joe Judge on which Head Coach gets fired first, and it's clear after his comments last week that Urban Meyer just isn't fit for the NFL Level. Look for the Bills to thrash another opponent as the Bills look to keep pace in a top heavy AFC playoff picture. Is this the week Urban Meyer feels the need to move to Southern California?
4PM Late Games
Chargers @ Eagles: Here we go again, an unbalanced schedule of games leaving us only three games in the 4PM window including a showdown between the Chargers & Eagles.
Chiefs @ Packers: Once again we are robbed of the State Farm Bowl. In 2019, Patrick Mahomes missed the game due to an ankle injury and now Aaron Rodgers got COVID after being caught lying about his vaccination status. If there was one team who could take advantage of the Chiefs down year it was going to be the Packers. Their defense is historically bad and Aaron Rodgers if he was playing would have carved up the Chiefs with the return of Davante Adams. Now Jordan Love gets his very first start and based on what we saw last week in Arizona, look for Green Bay to lean on the run game with the absence of Rodgers.
Cardinals @ 49ers:
Sunday Night Football
Titans @ Rams: In what some may call a Super Bowl preview, the Titans head to LA to take on the Rams without Derrick Henry who was on pace to smash the rushing yards record before a foot injury derailed his season. While it won't be the same, the Titans are hoping Adrian Peterson & D'Onta Foreman will be able to carry the load until Henry gets back. The Titans offense has to lean on the passing game against a stingy Rams defense and Aaron Donald staring down Ryan Tannehill.
