Next Up: vs Rams

No surprises here

Sheesh, even if Westry comes back Cooper Kupp does most of his damage from the slot and I think it's going to be a difficult match up for Tavon. Not to mention Van Jefferson speed in itself could present as a problem for Jimmy or Westry....

Lamar might come back but we don't have a chance with this secondary. The way the Bengals did us was dirty but they match up well with a lot of teams given the amount of talent they have on offense.

The Rams are on another level. They're a far superior team. I can see Cooper Kupp going for over 200 yards against this secondary.

I just hope we can avoid more season-ending injuries so we can regroup next year. I stopped having expectations once Marlon went down but Stanley, Gus, Dobbins and Peters early-season injuries were detrimental in so many ways. I wish we could've avoided those.

i mean Kupp's great but idk that i agree with this take...

i think the bengals are superior to the rams at almost every position - the rams have some superstars but idk that that makes up for the depth and breadth of talent the bengals have

Thank god lol. I’m on the west coast and I hate 1:30 games. It’s such an awkward time lol

Must be nice for all your prime time games to kick off at 5:20pm

Tony got caught by the random test. Said he was asymptomatic and vaccinated this morning.

wtf lol?

literally just got here, played well enough to actually get significant snaps in his first game action for years and now he's out lol

i guess technically though he's still got a chance to play this weekend based on the new rules though - but we've not seen many guys come back much before the 10 days (most of our guys who've come back "early" have still been out 6 days or more)

and not 1:20 am like in the UK lol

Lol dedication and That’s brutal if you have a normal work schedule. I used to love living in Japan for prime time games starting at 9am local time. The problem was 1pm EST games started at 2am Japanese time. Those Mondays were rough.

Well not sure this changes anything but the CDC said the isolation period for those who test positive is now 5 days, no longer 10 days.

Given what we currently know about COVID-19 and the Omicron variant, CDC is shortening the recommended time for isolation from 10 days for people with COVID-19 to 5 days, if asymptomatic, followed by 5 days of wearing a mask when around others.

[...] Therefore, people who test positive should isolate for 5 days and, if asymptomatic at that time, they may leave isolation if they can continue to mask for 5 days to minimize the risk of infecting others.

It goes beyond depth though I think the Bengals definitely have more offensive firepower. The Rams to me have more blue-chip players on the field and I think the Rams just execute better, have a better scheme, can create all types of mismatch problems on the field and I really do not care for the type of game Matt Stafford had last week, he's been money for them this year and I think he's bound to have a huge game.

The Bengals defense has done well but I've seen some pretty suspect games out of them. Also Football is a game of health and now staying off the COVID list and the Bengals have mostly been healthy and have not had any COVID issues. They should be running away with this division honestly because it's been handed to them on a silver platter given our and Cleveland's circumstances. They can only control what they can control but for now I'm very well convinced that the Rams are definitely a better team.
