That's good to know. I wonder if we might be going the internal pressure route now(in the draft) that we've lost Z. Wyatt can certainly bring it from inside if we were to take him and you would have two veterans in Pierce and the Bears nose, if we sign him, coaching up the run d.
round 1/2 of Wyatt/Ebuketie would certainly step up the rush.

i doubt we sign goldman now that we've got pierce - think the only time i can remember us putting 2 nose tackles on the field at the same time often was in that 2019 season with pierce and williams and i just dont think it works well

wyatt's cool but i would be pretty disappointed if he was our first pick

not a good draft if you're looking for interior pressure tbh

someone like Phidarian Mathis or Perrion Winfrey could potentially be BPA at our 2nd pick although im seeing both (but mathis especially) dropping on all the media draft boards and im not sure why - but if either of those guys are there at our 3rd pick then they'd be great pickups

I really believe the key to winning superbowls is high powered offenses and prioritized pass rush on defense. No defense is perfect but the ones that excel at rushing the passer are the ones winning championships.

I think we're 1 player away on offense from satisfying the offensive criteria. I think we need a big step from Oweh and at least 1 more critical edge rusher to fill out the pass rush room.

Is it important enough to possibly trade up a few spots if someone is falling with Ojabo likely off the table

dont like either of those guys in the second round. Dont know if we are bringing Goldman in anymore but we will carry 2 nose tackles...perhaps Goldman makes those two in particular cost prohibitive I suppose.

feels more likely that now we've brought in pierce that the second guy will be a day 3 rookie or a vet minimum free agent like jelly

im with you though - not completely enthused by either of those 2 in round 2 although i do really like both of them

Feel like Winfrey in particular feels very Jernigan-like where he’s going to flash and look like a superstar on occasion but is marred by inconsistency mostly
