Lamar, The Running Game and The Defensive Collapse

I don't disagree with any of that. But I guess I should have made my point clearer. It was that the young guys were just fundamentally not up to the task physically, they were not up to the task mentally. And clearly neither was MM. You can't have Clark and Williams at the LOS when you've seen Waddle and Hill beat you over the top multiple times at this point.

The young guys had their hands full and the crew of guys that were all out there at the same time in the positions they were, was a recipe for disaster it seems based on what happened. They weren't up to that.

they needed more help and they didnt get it

I want to play the Dolphins again in the playoffs and it's too soon to say if we are a good team or a bad team. I do feel we will get better in the run game and Macdonald will learn from this as well. I also feel our pass defense will get much better.

I live by the mantra as it's never as bad as it seems and of course it's also never as good as it seems.

On the positives:

Lamar was unreal
Pass protection was basically perfect
Passing game concepts were creating lots of space
Rashod Bateman is the real deal
Marcus Williams is exactly who we hoped he would be

The things we have to hope come together:

Where did the pressure go?
Can Mike Macdonald learn from this?
Can Greg Roman fix the running game?
Can the CB group get healthy?

We are definitely a good team. We are way to talented and have one of the best coaches in the league. People are in denial over the dolphins , but they are also a good team this year. Love the idea of playing them in the playoffs

I have to admit... Roman has been pretty solid besides those 4 straight runs inside the redzone yesterday. I still hate him though

He was. Time will tell if this holds up

Where the hell has Oweh been? His disappearance has been extremely unfortunate

Yeah we were counting on him big time
I don't see this talked about enough with all of the Hamilton hate lol. A 33 year old is our best pass rusher at the moment with not much help behind him, but I've been extremely impressed with Broderick Washington through 2 games. I'm hoping we can get JPP in Baltimore ASAP

Oweh has been doing a lot thanks to how short we are on players.

Also this exists and I’m in mucho pain

Without watching the film, I'm going to guess two things:
1. He's getting double teamed a ton. He basically referenced this last week after the Jets game. Without any serious threats as complementary rushers, if I were an OC, I'd double him too. He's not going to get a lot of sacks getting double teamed, for sure.
2. I can't say for sure where he lined up yesterday, but if he was on the left side, he was up against Armstead frequently, who's an elite LT in terms of pass protection. So I'm not surprised it wasn't an easy day for him either.

After having watched a couple of snaps it seems like Hamilton has been moved around quite a lot, wherever they needed him after Humph went down and MP being also on a pitch count.
Yes at times he had no idea, but let's be honest here: he's a rookie trying to learn an nfl playbook & new scheme, that alone isn't an easy task, he has also to learn multiple positions on top.
But i have to admit Cine looks better.

Is it really true, teams were 711-0 with a 21 point lead in the 4th quarter , until us? My god, how do you recover from that
