I don't know what we did to deserve Jacoby but damn was it worth it

I can admit I was 1000% wrong about the Jones signing. I hated it and he had just cost the Texans against us. Turned out to be one of my favorite FA signings. That giants td dance that never counted is still in my top 3. Had some real personalities on that 2012 team.

Dragonfly is good people. I miss him.

Not shocked by this. It obviously wasn't a good look when he started limping in the middle of a run. Good thing is that it’s only arthroscopic so we can at least take solace in that.
Yes, BUT, it's hard to see him returning to pre-injury form at this point.
I'll gladly be the guy who's basically "fuck RBs", but honestly, they're disposable. If he returns to form, so be it. But he'll never get a long term extension worth more than the veteran minimum from basically anybody at this point, and I'd expect the Ravens to be in a serious market for a RB in the draft. Potentially as early as day 2. Edwards is prime cut candidate too if he can't regain form.

There's plenty of scenarios I see where Dobbins is like the #2 or #3 RB next year, and our RB room looks a lot different.

Unfortunate? Certainly. Because there was a TON to like about JK coming out of college. Just a tough break, but that's the business.

Far too early to make any of these determinations. Obviously not great news here but we don't have near enough info to know what's even being cleaned up here and what the long-term prospects are.

I was thinking the same thing. The reality is that both our RB's went down with significant injuries and now potentially 2 years for Dobbins. That's alot and strictly from a health perspective I'm not sure its fair to expect Dobbins to come back to form. I am rooting for him but the Ravens can't afford to go into next season with Hill and Drake as your healthy runners.

It's going to be interested to see what Gus looks like.

Sure, but there's some obvious factors:
1. Edwards is owed about $4.4M in non-guaranteed salary next year, and all of that is cap savings if they move on. Which will be crucial if Lamar is on the franchise tag. That's a hefty price for a complementary RB.
2. Dobbins is going to miss probably most of the rest of this season, which means he'll pretty much head into the final year of his rookie deal with something like 6-8 games played in two years. That's not something you can hang your hat on. At the very least, it kills any possible non-team-friendly extension he would get this offseason, which means he'll at least head to FA.
3. Justice Hill and Kenyan Drake are both UFAs after this season.

So for me, while we don't actually have an "RB1", I don't see scenarios where Dobbins, Edwards, or Hill are the RB1 on this roster come 2023.
