and that is his downfall. He doesn't adjust his defense and OC's will beat him. That being said, I'm not sure he was fired. I believe he may have wanted a bigger opportunity to become a head coach and he felt NY was a better opportunity to become one. Maybe that's true and maybe it isn't.

I do think it was a bit of a mutual parting but I also think with harbaughs “going back to the well too many times” comment was really telling last year, winks defense works when your front seven lacks talent and secondary is loaded, it can also work plenty well when OCs are figuring you out, once he faces the commanders, cowboys, and eagles twice a year, they will begin to game plan better against his defense, then the film is out and other teams adjust based on that.
It’s the cyclical nature of nfl gameplans and trends, when either side of the ball is successful based solely on the scheme, it can be beat, and I think winks defense is just too rigid for the modern nfl and it will come out eventually.
yeah, sure it is. ACL and foot injuries along with broken bones has nothing to do with the strength coach. He didn't want to come back, nor was he putting in the effort to come back.

Hiring a college coach like Josh Heupel or any other isn't always the best choice. Just look at all the failures. I'd say 80% of them fail and there was a list of them that came out the past two decades that have failed. Believe it came out when Rhule was fired.
Bet you wanted Rhule to replace Harbaugh also.

We've been anything but mediocre since Lamar became the starting QB. When he plays, Ravens win 3 out of every 4 games.
