Yeah I like to go later in the summer, I usually just time it for the last 2 weeks of school holidays. Poor bastard drowned this morning at the beach I'm at.
My company closes for Christmas until mid Jan. Everybody's off and I cover tech support throughout. Works for folks with school kids and works for me - I take Feb, when the weather is always great in Auckland. Not to mention first part of January is not the busiest time, not a lot of work.

That poor guy was young, too. Girl in Manly yesterday, as well.

Very curious to see what we do at DB this game. The current depth with Marlon out...

CB: Stephens, Darby, Maulet, Ya-Sin
S: Hamilton, Williams, Stone

You have Ar'Darius on IR-DTR but it sounds like it's questionable whether he's activated. If he's not, that leaves you with Andrew Adams, Tre Swilling, and newly signed Christian Matthew on the PS. Not sure I've ever seen a Ravens team so light on pure numbers at the position at this stage.
I am worried about Stephens and Darby getting injured during the game, because there will be a significant drop off on the corners if they do. Really wish Humphrey was healthy.

Lowest price on Seat Geek is now $79 before fees for Saturday's game. What the hell is going on and what happened to our fan base? Guess the fans will just wait for the Ravens to build a dome stadium or something, weather chasing away fans? At this rate, I'm going to be going to the AFC Championship Game for under $100, especially if it does rain that day.
I’m been saying it for a while man, we are no longer a blue collar fan base. Been a long slow slide away from the Bank’s glory days starting in 2013. “Victory has defeated you”.

Freezing cold temps + crime in the city + overpriced concessions + recent history of playoff disappointment+ being able to watch the game at all angles for free on tv with much lower priced food= less in attendance, cheaper tickets

So let me get this straight, a blue collar fan base pay a lot more?
They wouldnt be paying more. We have the cheapest divisional round tickets and the championship round tickets are second only to Tampa. The real problem has always been the stadium experience, the Bank is cool, the surrounding area is awful with the main attraction being a casino and dirty harbor. When they clean it up and add value , a nice stadium district with shops, food, quality hotels etc .. people will make that drive from surrounding areas where most fans are coming from

also havent there been multiple games this year where the crowd was so loud that other teams have had to burn timeouts early
lol Anecdotal evidence of a couple games certainly doesn’t change the fact this has been talked about for years… how many games you been to at the Bank in the last ten years?

this is unbelievable. Not a good look and i don't want the stadium filled with Texans fans
There arent many Texan fans in the DMV and flights are cancelled due to weather plus the roads are snowy. They shouldnt be able to get there in droves.

I do hope Baltimore residents will walk over to the stadium and get those last minute tickets. Id sit iut there in the cold if it wasnt for the fact that Im snowed in.

Good points, I think we’ll be good. Texans fans are excited, but they don’t travel…. Championship round vs the the Bills would be a different story. I can easily see the Bills bringing in 20-25k if we don’t buy and hold those tickets first. KC travels pretty well, but nothing like the Bills fans.

Very good point. The Bills Mafia definitely travels and agree the Texans probably don't travel well, especially with the weather.

My wife refuses to go into the city restaurants at night to have dinner. Not even Little Italy which is generally safe. She never felt that way 5-10 years ago. There are lots of carjackings in the city.

When we go to Baltimore, we tend to go to Vaccarro's for dessert. It's unavoidable

Am I the only one who sees literally no correlation between the cost of ticket prices and how loud or even attended the game is? Can somebody explain why they think those things are related?

I think fans just bitch because they want to bitch. If it were a $500 get-in, you'd be bitching about how it prices out the "true fans" and that it's become just like the Superbowl.

I'm a season ticket holder. I'm not going to the game either. And I can tell you 100% that the gameday experience from my living room is better than the gameday experience from the stadium... and I've been to a lot of games in a lot of stadiums. It's entirely overrated. Especially true if you're trying to bring younger children to the game.

The amount of time I spend teaching my 7 year old about the game, during the game, is the exact same amount of time I spend explaining to my son why he can't repeat any of the 20 curse words the guy right in front of us yelled at absolutely nobody, and I have to pretend to not smell what my son smells, which is the guy two rows in front of me lighting up his 5th joint of the afternoon.

Next time you go to a game, just watch people. They'll spend as much time on the toilet and in the beer lines as they will in their seats watching the game. The tailgate lot is packed to the brim at 1245pm for a 1pm game.
