And there are MASSIVE differences between the Cousins deal and the Lamar deal.

Uh... its not a little extra $. There's a $35M gap in the gtd $ just at signing, and about $80M gap in real guaranteed $.

Just pointing out how dumb some of these teams are, how does Atlanta justify going after Watson and one year later after saying no to Lamar, justify the contract to a soon to be 36 year old Kirk Cousins? It just doesn't make any sense to me if they are willing to do chase them but outright publically say no thanks to Lamar.

Yes Geno was terrible in the run game and as a strong safety but still provided a very good backup at FS with Williams going down the past few seasons. Will be interesting to see us fill this hole.

Yeah Geno was a product of the defense and the players around him. I would have liked him back but understand that he wants to be a number one safety for a team and not be a third safety for us.

Not worried about Gus going to the Chargers, but I'm very curious how things are going to go for the Chargers and their run game. We all thought once Roman was gone, all our problems would be fixed. Then as we saw last year with Monken, the same problems popped up where guys weren't getting enough carries and like with Roman, we abandoned the run game in the AFC Championship. So the Chargers are going to say a lot about whether we have a John Harbaugh problem or a Lamar problem with him calling audibles and getting away from the run game himself.
