The Running Game, the Turnovers, and the Same Ol’ Ravens

2019 felt like a team that played with too much cockiness. 2023 felt like a team that way overcorrected that 2019 feeling. 2024 felt like a team in the sweet spot, but just crumbled under the pressure yet again just trying not to replicate either of those years.
I think the pressure definitely got to them in the first half but this is the first time we saw Lamar actually lock in and almost overcome it regardless. On the road in cold snowy weather, Lamar made the throws to at least tie it up. If he can do it in Buffalo, he can do it in Arrowhead

Baseball is dealing with the same thing. It’s the “tradition” of the game they keep harping on. It’s how it’s always been done so why change it. Why they hand their hat on officiating while changing every other things beats me, but that’s always the excuse.
Sure, but that's why I pointed out what other football leagues have done to improve officiating. It rings hollow to me that other leagues can implement those changes but the richest football league in the world can't "because they want to maintain the integrity of the game"

I think it would be extremely tough to move on for that reason - this was a good team that overcame a lot of shit to get where we are now, and you can attribute a lot of that to good and tough coaching decisions.

There’s no one out there I’d be pining for in this years coaching circles either.

I don’t think getting rid of him is necessarily the answer

Just wondering if that aspect of his coaching is actually helping the team - feels more self-serving tbh

I definitely don’t remember him getting them all to do the Lord’s Prayer every game a few years ago

I just wonder if it marginally makes players feel more passive about their play - and if that margin is the difference in key moments

Just a thought

Why haven't we banned the troll?

If it helps, RavenRockaRolla was technically under a permanent ban, which they were unwittingly able to bypass. I've permanently removed every post and every mention of them from this forum, and the ban has been reinstated. Should they return and we don't see it immediately, feel free to report the post, and I'll remove it again. Certain cats need the spray bottle. I'll be here for it.

Do we keep Orr as DC? All things considered I still don't trust his scheme.
Given how this defense turned it around since week 11, I definitely think he's getting another year. It's not really the scheme but the players. We haven't had a premier pass-rusher for years. KVN and Oweh have been solid, but against an OL like the Bills, I don't recall a sack on Allen (I could be wrong tho).

Lamar is legitimately the first player who I want to see win one, no matter who it is for. Just to see all the shit the man gets when all he does is work his ass off
Same. Not only do I want him to win one, but I want him to go tf off in the post game presser. Just flat out call every media member out who thinks he's not good enough to win one.

If he wins a SB MVP, the ONLY way I'd fall asleep would be due to exhaustion. Otherwise, I'm pulling an all-nighter.

I found out I have cancer last Wednesday, I am taking this loss a lot worse. Was hoping for something to lift my spirits, I aint mad just wasn't to be. Through all the mistakes we made we kept coming back but the last drop we never got a chance to atone for, the meltdowns after one mistake are what got me heated. Picking one target to lay blame is pretty unfair for Mandrews just because the time it happened. Pretty of blame to share around with this one.

Now I get to look forward to some [profanity deleted] sticking a camera up my clacker tomorrow.

Buddy, WHAT. So sorry to hear that. Please keep us posted on the recovery. You're a tough cookie so you'll see this through.

I'm not usually one to complain in that way. I really enjoy when people disagree. It makes for good discussion and allows you to see new perspectives. But that guy in particular is and has been an obvious troll who only comes around to harrass us when we lose. Often times exposing that they didn't even really watch or understand what happened. I hate censorship, but shit like that leads to people saying things they don't mean or regret.

Thank you!

I dont know how many more of these I have in me
I feel the same way. Obviously so do others. Its not supposed to be like this lol. It shouldn't be a big deal at all. And for some reason it is. I think it's because we have a team of really nice, high character guys

I think with 2019 they kinda gave up towards the end and just got beat by a hungrier team. 2023 they panicked after they got down. This time they actually got back into the game and Lamar made the throws to tie it up. They dug themselves too much of a hole but I do at least see progress.
You’re taking the bait. That was not progress you saw, that was the same failures, same old weak ass shit we always see in the playoffs, we just saw it in a slightly different in-game sequence.

We dropped balls and committed penalties and failed to execute key downs in 2019, 2023, and 2024, no matter how you slice it.

I really hate the anxiety and lead up only to fucking lose. And most of the game I had the feeling we would lose, and per usual they gave me false hope. You kind of feel it’s gonna come down to a 2 point conversion. I hate those games

I don’t think Bible thumping has ever helped on a NFL field. This is not remember the titans.

Hey really sorry to hear this. I hope everything goes well for you. Wishing you really all the best there is.

Yea pretty much. We were a top 3 team all those years and we lost in the playoffs all 3 years

We gotta be like top 3 in penalties. Top experts, including Bill Belichick, acknowledges we’re a good team.. but won’t take us seriously cause we always end up shooting ourselves in the foot. Take with that as you will..

I already see it happening on Twitter and RSR. I don’t think this game cemented Lamar as a “choker”. It’s bullshit actually, he overcame early slop and horrible game momentum the first half and led the team back, if Andrews didn’t fumble or drop that pass we win
