The Forty, the Fumble, and the Fucking Déjà Vu

I mean, not too much to say here. Colossal failure on the players and coaches. Tired of seeing us fuck up the little shit. It’s a theme at this point.
That's just it. Years of the same. Loser mentality, no killer instinct, lack of attention to detail.

I don't really blame the defense. They were absolutely gased after the Ravens kept scoring so quick and as a result, at the end, Allen basically had all day to complete passes.

It all comes down to having an offense that could score at will and trying to use it to burn clock when it really mattered. Coaching scared as usual and he always does it in the worst circumstances, against the best teams , with the best QBs who can take advantage of it.

That and punting on 4th and 2 against a defense who couldn't stop us all night.
Nah defense is atleast partially to blame for this. Once the bills stopped throwing screens they had guys running wide open and moved the ball at will, they shouldn't have been able to move the ball like that with the pieces we have on defense. Harbaugh also shares some of the blame for being a coward but Orr's defense cannot be let off the hook

Yep. If I watch us lose because the other team beats us, that sucks but other teams can make plays too. But we continually watch them beat themselves. Awful clock management, playing soft, the fucking jet sweep when we employ Derrick Henry, among many other things. Yeah Henry fucked up on the fumble but there’s no reason we don’t hand the ball to him two times and then use Lamar to our advantage if that doesn’t get it done.

Only good thing was that Lamar looked good out there and so did Zay. Henry was an animal until he fumbled

100%. And one Henry fumble isn't the reason you lost. When you score 40, you actually have to do so many things wrong to lose. And we did them all

The defense was gassed cause they couldn't get off the field.

I'm sure that has nothing to do with coaching... consistently for over a decade this team has fallen apart in high pressure moments. We won that SB by the grace of God and Greg Roman

That play before half was one of the most bitch made calls I've seen from a Ravens defense that I can remember

I blame the defense in near entirety.

Yes, the Henry fumble was a colossal mistake. Yes, the PAT loomed really large. I'm not minimizing those mistakes.

However, when an offense scores 40 points, you expect to win. When a team leads by 15 with under 11 to go in the fourth, you expect to win.

It is absolutely amazing to me that a team with...

The second highest paid DT at the time of signing (now fourth), highest paid safety in NFL history, highest paid ILB at the time of signing (now second), two first round corners, two first round safeties, a top 10 pick at ILB, and a first round OLB

Still struggles as hard as they do. And yes, I understand that a few of those overlap, but the point remains the same: the Ravens have invested absolutely insane amounts into the defense and the fact that they're not producing at an even average level is astounding.

I was wary of Orr, but I had thought the veteran leadership that was brought in had helped him turn the corner. Obviously, it's one bad game against a very strong AFC team, but it's just unacceptable for the investment they've made into the defense to produce results like that.

It's unbelievable.
