Safety is a very high iq position. A bust at safety I feel like will show itself almost immediately, there isn’t a question or a “give it time” period, you’ll spot a bust at safety because they’ll tank your entire game, and starks wasn’t quite doing that.

With starks it felt like a question of is he VERY good, or is he just serviceable? He’s beginning to look like the former.

Still expect ups and downs his rookie year. If our secondary continues to look good, we’re bound to run into OCs and QBs who think starks is a guy they should put in conflict and go after just because he’s a rookie safety.

It really confuses me how we have people shitting on Linderbaum (and Monken) when our two starting guards play like their names are Ass and Cheeks. Like we can't evaluate anyone on offense with Vorhees and Faalele on the field

This is the first year linderbaum has struggled, he’s been elite his whole career up until now, so I do wonder if the regression of the G tandem plays a big part in his regression

Exactly. He had like 3 plays his entire rookie year, one was a fumble recovery forced by someone else, one was an INT that came right to him when he wasn’t even covering anyone, and one was a tackle.

We did see blown coverages and missed tackles out the ass though. We knew Michael huff was a bust for the same reasons, Kendrick Lewis, etc.

The one I don’t get is Marcus Williams.

This was a big win. Didn't look great at times, but I thought it was a trap game. Glad we managed a win. I would like to see a more consistent effort. I still feel like as good as we can be, we are the team that makes a crucial error in a time when you can't. We are still the team that trips in a pot hole and sends the delicious pizza flying out of the box, flipping into the air cheese side down onto a patch of gravel or dirt.

It’s week 10 and we still running hurry-ups, just to get stuffed doing a HB dive on short yardage cause our guards are ass.
