2026 Offseason Thread

I don't know that this is the year anything changes, but it feels like it's coming soon. Steve is clearly frustrated by being a perennial contender with nothing to show for it. He wants to win before he bows out and he's made that known publicly and internally.
It’s already been said that this offseason will be aggressive and with this coaching overhaul they are not gonna sit back and let things come to them. This one will absolutely be different

Depends how you look at it. Think they’ll be more aggressive in the FA market to the extent they can but I don’t think they’re going into any insane bidding wars. A Lamar extension may change my thought on that.

Not that I would want to trade more draft picks, but this is interesting.

What is the point of this? It doesn't actually change anything about why teams are hesitant to make trades. If the NFL wants more trades it should just push the trade deadline back by a month. Right now at the deadline teams don't really know if they should be buying or selling and it makes teams hesitant to make a move.

Yeah the early deadine and wonky contract structures are the real limits to more trades.
