From the measurements so far:

Reuben Bain Jr, Cashius Howell, Peter Woods, R Mason Thomas all have length concerns
Bain and Howell both having sub-30" arm lengths is wild

No way it doesn't drop them. Bain is a possibility at 14

Peter Woods with a lack of length and sub-300 weigh in is interesting. I'm not as low as some of y'all on him but still coming away with concerns after that.

measuring in like that and then this:

which normally suggests they're either not confident in their athleticism or they're not confident in their athleticism at the weight they've measured in at...

seems like bad advice to me - he's the kind of guy that needs to test great to get up into the top 20, he's not good enough to not do both the testing and the workout

if guys like Arvell Reese are working out (he's gonna work out with both EDGE and LB groups he said) then Woods has got no excuse

.
I once read Dante Scarnechia say that he didn't care about arm length, but rather what you could do with it tactically.
With Bain, I'm not worried because the guy will create pressure anyway. With Woods, maybe I am. With that arm length and in his position, he'd better do 40 reps on the press, otherwise he'll slide abruptly, which could cause him to fall to us in the second or third round.

Bain still not falling to us

I think the hardest part of evaluating Woods is that his metrics/stats when he's not nose tackling are in line with some really damn good prospects in history. But then you turn on the tape and you just don't see the impact you'd expect. Obviously 2024 was much better than 2025 but it still feels like something is missing. The flashes are certainly there but I just don't know that it's enough.

I'm with you though. I think going out there and doing some of these drills would have helped more than hurt, unless he was truly going to bomb it of course.

100% agreed
lack of length doesnt show up as an issue on bain's tape
it definitely does on woods' tape

length only matters if it creates leverage problems for you

but bain clearly outboxes on the inside to overcome any potential issues

for me i think i see quickness and fluidity but not much explosion (both in terms of get-off or power) and he gets out-leveraged

What do you think of Reese? There's a lot of hype surrounding her, but her film doesn't move me at all

think he's an awesome LB prospect with great blitz and spy film on tape
when i watch him as an EDGE he's underwhelming (albeit with potential based on the physical traits)

but a really great LB prospect - Ohio State has 2 elite LB prospects in this class with him and Styles

Yep I can agree with that. That natural get off just isn't there.

im not a major advocator for caleb banks - but you watch banks and he pops on film - completely lacking in any sort of consistency but you see those flashy reps of explosive power and dominance - you don't see that on woods film

woods' best reps on film almost look like LB reps just from a NT spot where he sorts laterally and outruns the OL to the spot

No doubt Banks is fun. Some DL coach is going to love that project because the potential is tantalizing but it’s so messy and inconsistent. Would love to see him paired with a veteran like Calais or Bucker. Got more weight to him but feels like he could thrive in that type of role with development.

I see him as a higher-level version of Queen.
Styles seems far superior to me

By the way, I'd bet on Eric Gentry: one year in the gym, building muscle and technique, and we've got a disruptor alongside Hamilton
