If there's one thing I learned, those guys in the front office are human just like the rest of us. Most of them are no smarter or no different either. They just worked their way up. If some of us chose that same path, we could just as easily be where they are. No special qualifications other than hard work and having conviction.

They were going to try. Don’t think they were going to win the bidding war for Trey in that scenario though. They ponied up the extra dollars that got it done only after the Maxx deal was off. But not like it wasn’t a competitive offer though.

I would like Jauan Jennings as a WR. He may be a bit pricy, though.
I dnt think we tried anything shady i hope.. im hoping when it does come out, something with his knee is really fked up… if not, we need to sign another big name to cover our tracks lmao
I don’t think there was anything shady there. Genuine discomfort with the physical results relative to the price they paid. Even if Hendrickson had agreed elsewhere prior to this mess, they would have pulled out of the Crosby deal.

Idk why man but Hendrickson feels so underwhelming to me. I guess I just saw Crosby as such a perfect fit here that everything else disappoints. I just love the way Crosby plays ball, I think he’s the 2nd best edge in the league after Garrett, idc about the metrics I just know what I see when I’m watching the game, nobody is impacting games as much as Crosby, he’s got once in a lifetime energy and motor, he’s so good at slipping and sliding his way to the ball carrier and refusing to let blocks slow him.
Such a fucking shame about his knee man. Even after thinking on it all day I still would take Crosby minus 2 firsts over what we’re doing now, without question, but if his knee is as bad as it sounds then I get why we’re doing this. Hendrickson should be able to get us sacks, but Crosby is a crunch time guy, put him in a big moment on a competitive team and he’s the guy that can take it over for 4 snaps and call game, because everyone is tired from playing all night and maxx plays like he’s just getting started, Trey might be in the former group.
I’m just disappointed. That was the most excited I’ve been as a ravens fan since 2019

Was the FO about to give Maxx a new deal?
Haven’t heard anything concrete but it would go against what I heard when they made the trade - that they loved that he had a long term deal already in place and they could play around with the structure. They absolutely would have restructured it at like 4:01 today

I think his agent was on Twitter saying that was false about changing his contract.
I think they’d have done a new contract eventually but I don’t think it was in the immediate plans, and that’s my best guess as to what the callout from his agent was referring to.
