2026 Offseason Thread

It doesn't change anything for the ravens unless he's really cheap to get and I doubt he would be cheap to get
I do wonder if at the very least bringing Hopkins back is a possibility. If our offense is a combination of the run game with Derrick and the Bears passing game with a better Quarterback, I think Hopkins would thrive and be the Boldin type of guy Lamar has needed.

No. we need to stop bringing in vets past their good years.

Let the young guys develop.
Agreed. We’ve made investments that are worth seeing through. I’m not one of the people expecting much from tez walker, but I am expecting sarratt to be a nfl caliber guy, and lane needs a good chunk of the reps that you would give to a guy like Hopkins.

Then of course you gave an extension to Bateman after drafting him in the first, so he’s still gonna be the front runner for wr2 and if he loses the job to one of the younger guys, that’s probably a good problem

Or all of the options are terrible and so they trot out Bateman by default because he is at least a WR3 level player and none of the others have even shown that yet. I would rather one of the younger guys beat Bateman for WR3 then just accept a gaping hole at WR2 because "maybe one of the young guys will fill it".

I don’t necessarily think it’s “maybe one of the young guys” but more like the investments have been made and it’s time to see them sink or swim. As opposed to C where there are no investments and it’s oh shit panic mode because Lindy got offered a god forsaken number.

I also think WRs just aren’t THAT important to this team and you’re good with a volume guy and a cast of serviceable guys, which we very well might have. But that all depends on OL play and coordinating

I know most people won't care and he's still firmly on the outside looking in, but Dayton Wade continues to win over people in that building. They were bummed he got hurt last year, and both Harbaugh and Monken were hoping to lure him to their respective teams. But the Ravens wanted to tender him and keep him in the fold and the new coaching staff likes him a ton as well.

He's small and had bricks for hands.

So i just saw pic of lajohntay, zay, lane and wade on the boat together.. that lead me looking more into wade. Long story short i assumed they must love him since he is still on the team even after getting hurt. Anyway, it also makes sense why we went so big at wr lol. We got those 3 small shifty mfs and no size.

He got some Derrick Mason to his game in my opinion . I was hoping he would have some room to shine this year and he might still make the team.

All I know is that he’s part of the Boat Crew and Bateman isn’t..

Saw a Mike Green cut up and ended up watching for longer than I'd like to admit... but man he was certainly a victim of overthinking. The later it got in the year, the more I saw teams simulating something to the edge. Got him to hesitate nearly every single time. Adds some credence to the idea that the scheme and all had some of these dudes in a blender, because it wasn't just him. Even vets like Van Noy were struggling at times, even though Green was the biggest culprit.

I know people aren't going to want to hear it because he's not the most dynamic pass rusher in the world, but there's virtually none of that with Tavius. No wasted movement and approaches all of that with extreme confidence.

Bad scheme implemented by a bad teacher with a stubborn ass HC. This is why I said people were somewhat overreacting about our edge room.
