2018 Forum Mock: Discussion Thread

So... about the draft....

What are we doing about the teams that aren't really participating? Obviously replacements aren't coming in. Pick some dedicated drafters - no trading and just picking what's best for the team?

I think we should skip those draft picks.

Just did a quick look through, and it seems there were 6 teams that dropped out immediately, essentially:

Texans, Redskins, Patriots, Chiefs, Falcons, Cardinals

Skins haven't been active but are planning on being active for the draft according to my off board conversation with him today.

maybe we should have 8 rounds to make up for the 5 teams that are skipped throughout the draft. One pick per team randomized. NOT

I mean, it is essentially a whole round of the draft that will be missed......................

I'll take an extra pick (or just the whole round if you'd rather do it that way)

Or if I didn't shit the bed on the Hayes bid and played myself, or even worse, another team. Respect to DET for playing it coy. I should've figured something was wrong when they didn't bid again. I worried too much about refreshing with the forum lagging behind.

I actually didn't catch it until the last couple minutes. I only had 3 stars available to bid and Hayes was my #1 realistic option to come away with. I just so happened to notice the misspelling and almost didn't say anything but figured if it was the other way around.... You definitely would say something lol

Half of the inactive teams’ GMs haven’t been online in like a month, but a couple of them are on every single day. What gives?

if you're not prepared now, you'll never be prepared.
Wrong. Last year I didn’t even have a big board and didn’t know who I was picking until I was on the clock. I’m more prepared than last year so I’ll be fine. Just didn’t know it was so soon.

DRAFT TOMORROW

Oh jeez lol - I definitely didn’t register how soon March 21st was... oops

I’ve spent so much time on my ravens big board but the ravens irl needs and schemes are so different to my team lol

lol Double drat. I think he's an excellent pickup. I personally feel that you got him for a bargain.

i was just playing. Sure you'll do fine...

Good Luck to everyone in the draft and have fun. If you aren't going to be available for a while, please give a your big board or a few picks to someone who will be available to make the pic for you.

Also, if you are planning on trading your pic. Don't start the trade process when you are on the clock. Even though we have 12 hours to make the pick it's nice to be efficient.

I'm actually nervous for the draft. My scouting abilities are lacking, and I don't want to pick someone who doesn't fit my team or isn't the BPA.

I figured you were, I just wanted to throw it out there that you don't have to be super prepared to be successful in the draft for anyone who might be a little worried.
Oh, good.

Although I needed the picks, having the draft starting tomorrow makes me sad that I traded out of the 1st round because now that's going to be a long ass wait.

if you hadn't traded out of the 1st altogether, I may have been willing to trade up with you so you could land in the 1.2
So I’ve got a natural advantage over everyone then?
I was wondering if you'd comment, being that you are up round the clock.
