2018 Forum Mock: Discussion Thread

Can we just make a rule for those poor Aholes like me, who pick once every like 3 rounds, that the other good samaritans are leaving a decent player for us to draft? Like a bonus or sth.. I can't wait till mid 4th and have only Rich Eisen to pick as a RT

We put ourselves in this position my friend

The ex Hawks gm put me in this.. I have no fault other than picking up this team :D
Hmm..you could’ve been more proactive about trying to accumulate picks, like the really handsome Dolphins GM on here.

But talk about being put in a horrible spot...I had to cut or trade half my roster just to have a decent amount of cap lol.

Just came back from an impromptu meeting about an upcoming shipping project. Decision between two players coming shortly.

How about you tell me the two players, then I tell you which is the one I’d be okay with? Haha

What the hell. Do you have my freaking board somehow? This is where you cross the line. Not going to lie I’m actually pissed I missed out on Rankin. Was gonna take him at 5 but figured he’d still be there at 9.

actually it's the other way around. You have his board.

Just realized that my trade of Fusco netted me 5.20 which I've already owned once this forum mock. Looks like it's changed hands quite a bit to get to this point.

I PayPal members five bones each for inside takes. But no, now I feel really bad. This used to happen with my picks and Ozzsome's all the time on the previous board. I actually told another member prior to your last pick that I seriously thought that you'd be taking Rankin after looking at your depth chart but that you might feel compelled to take a falling WR first given how close you were to Miller and Cain. Rankin's honestly been my target for the multiple trade ups from the get-go. I was going to flat-out leave the pick with somebody last night, but I did a tape review and came across some troubling aspects, specifically in terms of functional strength. I figured I'd get up early to re-do the review but was sucked into the meeting and was then caught deciding between him and another prospect and was trying to decide who'd still be around. Went with my gut at the last moment and I'm fortunate that I leaned in that direction then.

Oh my I did track 5.20's journey and it has been around the world, kind of like Andy Dalton a few years back

NYJ to BAL to OAK to NO to SF to BUF to DET back to BAL
Atlantic Citys, White House Subs - Crabs - the Naughty Donut - Poeboys - Dungeoness Crab -
Buffalo Wings - Middle Eastern Bakeries - Crab (once again)

Yeah no joke I had my mind set on Rankin 100% at 5 but at the last second I decided on Gallup. He was the last of the WRs I really like, and after missing out on both Cain and Miller immediately before my picks, there was no way I was going to take a chance and hope he’d still be there in 4 picks.

I figured Rankin had a better chance of making it to 9 than Gallup did. I envisioned moving Rankin to the inside next to Daniels. Oh well. At least you don’t pick directly in front of me anymore.

Which for what it's worth, I'd rather take a falling WR personally that I'm seriously high on compared to a lineman. Not at all meant to devalue the OL prospects. At least you have a chance to take one of my boys with this next selection.

Well Rankin was my favorite remaining interior OL prospect, but I really like Tyrell Crosby at RT.

Once again someone i hope the Ravens look at. He would fit in with our scheme very well, as he is a huge, very powerful man. And with how well we coach up our OL, I think we would be able to make a very good player out of Crosby.
